Fall Feasting Track

Postby coffeemongerer » Tue Oct 02, 2007 1:26 am

I started one of these awhile back, but couldn't keep up with it-- too busy, was my excuse. But, since it's the first of the month again, I'd like to try and keep track of myself. Held accountable for diet and exercise in such a public forum is... awesome!

So, October 1st...

Got up early and went for a mild jog.

Breakfast: 6 oz. raspberry soy yogurt with 1/2 cup ginger hemp granola

Breakfast sidekick: women's multi-vitamin, echinacea tablet, ginseng tablet, 2 shots of espresso on ice

Lunch: 4th a block of spiced tofu with a bunch of greens

Snack: dark chocolate Alpsnack bar

Gym: 5 minutes stationary biking, 40 minutes legs and core work

workout accompanied by: a "Healthy Heart" smoothie from Bally's including 15 g soy protein, strawberries, and flaxseed oil, yum yum yum

Snack: 1/2 a bottle of multi-green Kombucha

Dinner: two blue corn hard shell tacos filled with faux taco meat and salsa, greens on the side

Trying to drink more water since I always seem to be dehydrated. I know coffee isn't the best thing for me, but suggesting I not drink it is sort of ridiculous.

Cheers!

Postby coffeemongerer » Wed Oct 03, 2007 2:29 am

breakfast: smoothie containing blueberries, bananas, hemp protein powder, and vanilla soy yogurt

mid-morning: greens with 1/4 block of spicey tofu

4 shots of espresso

2 pieces energy gum

cleaned for three hours, lifting and moving around

1/4 bottle kombucha multi-green

dinner: "cheesy" delicious quinoa made on a whim by simmering quinoa (1 part grain 2 parts water) with lemon juice, garlic, thyme, oregano, tiny cayenne dash until most of the water was absorbed.... then i added a little soy margarine (half a tablespoon maybe?) and nutritional yeast, tiny bit of yellow mustard, soy sauce, and soy milk, it turned out AWESOME... so a scoop of that alongside a chopped faux chicken patty with hot sauce in a sprouted grain tortilla

workout: 1 hour of light jogging and stretching outdoors with josie

Josie (gf) just left town for Regionals. (Ultimate Frisbee) I may need to edit this entry later and add more food, because it's nearing 7pm and I'm sure I'll eat at least one more time. Stayed away from beer this week, which isn't hard as coffee's my drug of choice, but, kind of lost on what to do this weekend. Up and down depression, coming to terms with most likely being a manic-depressive, bipolar, whatever the fuck, but diet and exercise and the vegan lifestyle seem to keep me some minimal level of stable at all times. Thinking of seeing a therapist that works with LGBT's sometime soon. I make music for an outlet: http://myspace.com/thesmallestofcringes I really enjoy this board. Should comment more, just busy.
