First of all, I'd like to apologize for the similarity of this thread to other threads in this forum. I'm sure you all probably tire of the "Is my diet sufficient?" , but I am really at a loss here. I felt so much healthier switching to a vegan diet and have been going for about a year and 5 months now. Lately, I have had no energy and when I stand I either get dizzy or on occasion my legs feel like lead. I know their could be many factors that could cause this including stress (I'm going through a really tough time in my life right now.) I just want to be sure to rule out diet before I can move on to investigating other possible causes. So, could you take a look at my eating habits and see if they seem pretty balanced?
Thank you in advance for any advice. Also, there's no "typical" day for me since I get bored with food pretty easily and love to cook but what I ate today is pretty typical as far as food group ratios.
Breakfast: sauteed potatoes, onion, garlic, bell peppers, watercress and spices in a whole wheat pocket bread.
snack: tahini/carrot spread on a corn/flax crisp. Glass of fortified
soymilk.
lunch: pizza (tomato sauce, onion, red bell pepper, pineapple)
Dinner: veggie pot pie and a slice of mango.
snack: chocolate bar (I allow myself an indulgent treat once a week)
