The new highway code requries cyclsits to use cycle facilities 'wherever possible'. Many facilities are of poor standard, or just plain dangerous. Cyclists should not be forced to use such facilities against their better judgement. In short, cyclists should be allowed to use the road.

the way i see it, as cycles (+ horses, peds, etc) use the road by right, and motorised vehicles use it by license, a cyclist has more of a right to be on the road than a driver. if i get creamed by a lorry, it will be my fault for not being on the cycle path. fucking car culture makes me sick...
