Monday
off

Tuesday
RPM
Predictably hard hard last weeks lapse in exercise.
48 mins/ HR zones: 11 moderate;14 light; 20 hard/ max HR 170; avg 140/ 475 cals

Wednesday
Latin Step
48 mins/ max HR 159, 120 avg/ 359 cals

aargh, succumbed to BodyPump again because I was too lazy to train alone in the gym. It was well worth it just to hear the disco version remake of Midnight Oil's 'Beds Are Burning' try doing 100 squats to that speeded up. You hear all kinds of crap in BodyPump.

58 mins/ max HR 158, avg 113/ 370 cals

ahem

let's not mention the black hole that was last week

Tuesday 26 September

Body Combat

Almost 100% Muay Thai from various releases of Body Combat, absolutely wasted afterwards, in a good way. I wish all the BC classes were like this!

Wednesday

Bit of cardio in the gym and a short 15 minute swim.

Thursday and Friday
niente

Saturday
Body Combat new release. Quite a kickass release and I was sweating like mad after the 60 mins. I think I'm going to enjoy doing this for the next 12 weeks.

62 mins/ max HR 181, avg 145/ 669 cals

Another pretty bad week for me. Exercise is pretty important for my mental health I've discovered, and the less I do the worse my moods get. As someone who has suffered from depressions in the past, I'm vigilant about not slipping back into bad habits and I'm aiming to get back into a more regular exercise routine next week. With my job calming down a bit, that shouldn't be too hard.

I can sooo relate to that! I've not been in the gym for 2 weeks, because of new job and what have ya and I got really moody and sluggish. Bit of a vicious circle really: tired and bad mood - no energy for gym - no training - bad mood and tired. :( :? Kick boxing yesterday and BC today has cheered me up no end! :D

Hmmm, my previous post now seems a bit odd, what with you changing your sig - obviously that was aimed at the Lily Allen lyrics that were featured there before :)

Sunday

Body Pump- tough again, why do I do this to myself  Wanted to do a class afterwards but ended up just doing some cardio, elyptical and a bit of running.

83 mins/ max 162; avg 118/ 600 cals

Monday

Body Balance- nice class. Wanted to swim but I woke up with a godamned cold sore.

This is an example Body Balance choreography

1.Tai chi warmup.

2.Sun salutations.

3.Yoga standing strength. Poses such as warrior pose and triangle pose

4.Balances.

5.Hip openers.

6.Core work. Uses exercises from Pilates and yoga.

7.Twists and forward bends. Poses and stretches to increase flexibility in the hamstrings and back.

8.Relaxation and meditation.
