That's good advice too.

I am a member of the local tri club, track club, velo club, and masters swim team. Unfortunately, I can't make practices or trainings for any of them. I just pay them. I am also a member at the local YMCA, and that's where I go swim or run or bike for 20 or so minutes once ever few days, unless I get to do it at home.

That's the problem: little time, and it's all odd times.

But this really does help. I need to remember that I know how to train and learn: i did it for swimming and I coached it too. Running is something that I can learn and try and do intervals with and I know how to do that. It's just harder alone: but not impossible alone.

Two days no training and lots of eating.
Did you know I, can easily put down 1700 calories in one sitting. I had no idea.

Well, I know why I've been swimming slow: mushy core, wide kick, and poor rotation and too little hand acceleration.

you might have just described me there, too...

I've got a week of open water swimming, dinghy sailing and windsurfing coming up. That's going to help fix my core and hopefully help with arm/shoulder strength...

Last time I swam (Wednesday), I swam well again. I don't know if I'll be able to keep it, but I was doing 1:13s on the 1:20 interval for 800. It was great.

Last night, I did a bike/run brick. That was better than expected. I rocked the bike for 15 miles at 21mph. That's my race pace. I was truckin', and I had a lot left when I was done. Then I ran for 3.6miles and it felt good. I'm still slow, but I didn't feel horrible.

My lungs feel like they're getting bigger.
