yeah I think it's possible to eat about 100g a day even without protein shakes. I tried a lot but it tastes absolutely awful each time, perhaps I should try another brand but the choice of vegan protein isn't that good here. I wish I had access to the vega stuff, must be great according to what the others say...

I honestly dont think Vega tastes that great. I'm weird.

I order all of my protein off the internet. It's cheaper and i dont have to drive 30 minutes to the only store that sells it.

lelle:

Do you mind if I ask how old you are? 120 pounds at 5 feet 11 inches. Weight gain maybe a genetic issue with you. :? I have decided to consume less than 3000 calories a day and shoot for 2500 to 2600 because my stomach area and my left boob have become an issue as far as flab. I look much slimmer now. 6 ft 1 inch 167.5 pounds this morning. I want to improve my functional strength, not get big anymore.

I'm 23 years old, can't say whether it is a genetic issue or not because except for the last weeks my eating habits sucked hard, same for the training. I think in a few months I can tell :)

hi lelle old mate,

:-)
here some links to shop which sell to germany:
http://www.bbszene-shop.de/product_info ... cts_id=456
http://www.bbszene-shop.de/product_info ... cts_id=535
http://www.bbszene-shop.de/product_info ... cts_id=489
allmost free sample:

these are cheap:

costs of shipping herefore:
http://www.sportnahrung.at/shop_content ... sandkosten

i would say a price of more than 20 euros per 750 gramm is expensive and probably not worth it (except its organic or something)

:-)

hi,

i tried the power man, the power tec and the goldfield us x-ten pro (from vitaminexpress.at )

i liked the goldfield best
the power tec is almost disgusting (cos there is no way to mix it up with water properly, there always rocks of protein swimming around)
the power man (3k) was ok

nornally all tastes are ok, as long as they mix up properly

had a protein shake afterwards, the powder dissolved well using a mixer for about 5 minutes  it was quite disgusting getting the stuff down my throat but in the end it went alright. from now on I try to have a shake after each workout. I guess it's right that you need to drink a lot of water when taking protein shakes?!

I don't think that you need to drink too much water really. But then count the shake not as a drink, but food, otherwise you may well get dehydrated.

What did you put in the shake that made it taste so bad? Could you list the ingredients at all?

hey!

I've heard that drinking a lot is important when taking protein shakes because of the kidneys.
this time I mixed the powder with multivitamin juice, the problem was not the taste (although it didn't taste too nice) but the consistency, I just need to use more fluid. surprisingly I only felt full for about 10-15 minutes which means my body responded well to the shake. as soon as my current powder is used up I'll try the brand recommended.

Yep, the consistancy gets me too. But it is gonna taste pretty bad too if you only mix it with juice. You need a banana too. Best is pineapple juice, a banana, and 30-40g of soy/pea protein. I actually think that tastes pretty good! :D
