January 24th

Squat
Bar x 8
135 x 5
225 x 3
275 x 1
315 x 1
340 x 3
360 x 3 x 2

Squat w/ 130lbs of Chains
225 x 3
235 x 3
245 x 3

So stoked on that! Last time I tried 360 I couldn't make it out of the hole. They all felt strong too so I'm hoping for 370 next week.

January 27th

Deadlift
135 x 5
225 x 3
315 x 1
365 x 1
405 x 3 x 2

Deficit Deadlift
315 x 3
315 x 5
325 x 5

Finally got 405 for a triple. Managed to get a second set too, but the last rep of that set was ugly. I was trying to focus on speed all the way through the pull for the deficits so I kept the weight lighter.

January 29

Bench Press
Bar x 8
95 x 5
135 x 2
155 x 1
175 x 3
190 x 2

Bench w/ Green Bands
135 x 3
145 x 3
155 x 2

Seated Shoulder Press
Bar x 8
95 x 3
115 x 3
130 x 2
125 x 3

Lat Pulldown
150 x 8 x 3

Still taunted by that 190. If I didn't pause the first rep, I think I could get it, but I need to work on speed through the press. The green bands add about 65 lbs at the top of the lift and help for maintaining tightness as well as speed.

One of the guys also busted out the rolling thunder, so we were all taking turns with that. I managed to work up to 125 I think before my grip failed.

January 31

Squat
bar x 8
135 x 5
225 x 3
275 x 1
315 x 1
345 x 3
370 x 2
370 x 1

Reverse Blue Band Squat
435 x 3 x 2
455 x 3

Technique was the issue. I pitched forward a bit on the third rep at 370. I also need to work on timing with the stretch reflex and not thinking so much during the lift. The strength is definitely there though

February 5

Bench Press
Bar x 8
95 x 5
135 x 2
165 x 1
185 x 2
190 x 2
195 x 2

OH Press
65 x 5
95 x 3
115 x 2
125 x 2
130 x 1

Reverse Grip Lat Pulldown
150 x 8
160 x 8 x 2

Neutral Grip DB Press
45 x 8
50 x 8
55 x 8

All in all a good day. I didn't pause the bench sets and just tried to get all the reps in. The second rep at 195 was bit of a struggle toward lockout, but not the most grinding I've done. Happy with the OH press as well since I believe that is slightly up.

Work schedule is changing so I'm going to end up being at work later, which cuts into my gym time. I'll likely do most of my assistance work the day after now. Not the worst thing in the world, but still irritating.

February 7

Squat
Bar x 8
135 x 5
225 x 3
275 x 1
315 x 1
345 x 2 (Ugly)
345 x 2 (Better)
365 x 1

Box Squat
275 x 3 x 2
285 x 3

Had a shitty week last week at work and it really took a toll on my lifts. I should have taken Friday as a deload, but decided to go for it anyway with weak results. Did those box squats to strengthen the bottom more with no belt and could really feel it this weekend.

February 11

Deadlift
135 x 5
225 x 3
315 x 2
365 x 1
405 x 2
425 x 2

18" Deadlift
405 x 3 x 3

First time I've done doubles on this, so I didn't really know what to expect. 405 was fast although the second rep was sticking to my thigh at lockout so it slowed down somewhat, but not a whole lot. 425 was tougher, had to really grind out the lockout on the second rep. Definitely happy with it though. I probably should have upped the weight on the 18" deadlift, but I was focusing on technique.

Starting today, I'm taking a deload week before doing singles. Friday last week taught me that it's probably a good idea considering how long this cycle has been.
