By strict do you mean not push pressing and not leaning all the way back?

I mean just keeping your legs straight so yeah not push pressing. How much layback you use is a matter of personal conscience ;) I often use a wee bit on hard reps.

Not sure how other people work layback into their definitions of strict OHP. I think a little is allowed. When they had it in comps a lot was allowed so you got freaks who were almost parralel

oh okay you are doing push press then? I'm not going to judge :) I'm assuming it is more specific to your sport than strict press
which would make sense.

edited to add: bw overhead push press would still be pretty cool!

Nope, not push press at all. Knees steady, all of the drive coming from shoulders and triceps.
