14/10/13
Went to the physio!
Thinks problem is with sciatic nerve and should be fairly easy to fix. Got some rehab exercises to do and seeing him again in two and a half weeks. Till then not allowed to deadlift :( Also going to drop the kettlebell swings for now given the amount of pain last time in lower back and cos he said lower back might be related.

Back off week so just some light OHP work. Training book is full so converting an old diary ...

15/10/13
Rehab nerve work.

Fat loss appears to be working but not sure how to keep it up given my cardio options are pretty limited grrr

since then fell ill with cold :( so have just been doing the rehab. FML.

Moving out of 'The Silvermill' back into the old garage tonight. Shame as i really liked it :(

Have been being quite disciplined with diet but then after the flu followed by leg injury followed by cold today thought fuck it and had some cakes hardcore. New apple puff mince pies at the coop are alright.

Waited patiently to recover from the flu, worked around the leg injury patiently so yeah the cold is the last straw. Fuck it will eat what i like till start training again. Hopefully next week.

Did you find out what was wrong with your leg? Are you still at the physio?

Nice work on the bench PB - maybe time to set some more upper body PB's?

Hi yeah physio diagnosed it as a Sciatic (spelling?) nerve issues. Gave me exercises which have improved it, gave me some more exercises on second visit. Seeing again on the 18th. It's gradually improving. Have his permission to deadlift from height so training shouldn't suffer too much.

Main problem since last update has been this cold and then moving house even if it is just up the street.

The old garage is fully set up again now though and the powerrack actually fitted in there!

Okay two days to post

Am over the cold and leg is slowly getting better. Back in old garage and not minding it so much.

Job situation is looking promising. Picking up some freelance consulting pieces here and there one of which might develop into a proper job.

11/11/13 Strict OHP day
1x5x35
1x5x40
1x5x45 (6 reps so +1. Only one lower than before cold)
Ring CUs supinated 1x6, 1x5, then with red band 1x6, 1x4
New GPP circuit
18 cycles in 10 mins of ...
15kg plate off floor, then 2xsquat, 2xPush press then walk to end of garage and back and place back on floor
Didn't really work up enough of a sweat and not strong enough to continue after 10 mins so dropping the weight tomorow and doing for longer

12/11/13
52 cycles in 20 minutes of new GPP circuit with 10kg plate instead of 15kg.
Worked up a good sweat and tired but not really out of breath.
Is this okay or do I need to be out of breath at the end?
Not sure how to progress it. Don't have anything in between the 10kg and 15kg plate hmmmm. Will probably have to go back up to the 15 plate and try and push the reps forward.

13/11/13
Rack pull from knee height (due to injury)
1x5x100kg 5
1x5x120kg 5
1x5x140kg 5
29 cycles of GPP circuit in 15 mins with 15kg plate

14/11/13
40 cycles in 20 mins with 15kg plate

15/11/13
Bench
1x5x45
1x5x52.5
with belt 1x5x60 (12 reps so +7). Quite happy with this.

Hammer CUs on rings
1x6
1x4
with red band 1x7 and then 1x4

16/11/13
nada

17/11/13
Squat day
1x5x87.5kg 5
1x5x102kg 5
1x5x115kg 5 (+0)
40 cycles in 20 mins with 15kg plate
note: random pain at top of left knee cap at various points ...

well turned 31 and am certainly leaner

down from a 'peak' of 80kg and 30% bf according to the electronic fat scale (bullshit i know but consistent bullshit)

Now at 67kg and 19.5% bf. Abs in the right light.

Bench at 80kg (all time is 80kg)
Squat and Deadlift ORMs are way down due to injuries but 10RMs are looking pretty good. 97.5kg for Squat (11 reps), 117.5kg for Deadlift.

Going to keep going till the scale says 15% then will reassess.

Idea is to make room for the mega bulk ...

Good to see you back here logging again.

If I may say, as a former 65kg-er... I realise that it was a bit daft being that low. Also having now just cut from 89kg to 79kg since July, I feel like I did when I was 65kg, except look and feel tons better/stronger.

I'd vote for bulk of doom commencing immediately.

After 6 years of making fun of bodybuilders and becoming a certified pie master in the process, the Muppet is going on a bodybuilding program. Disco disco baby ... ;)

Down to 63/64kg bw and about 17% on the silly scales. Skinfolds came out at 12%.

Been carb cycling with some success

The (slow and clean) bulk of doom begins. Doing a three day version of German Volume Training. Having cut so much the plan is to keep bulking very slowly for hopefully ages so that in two years i can compete at glasgow strength strongman stuff and not embarrass myself.

Needed some time away from VF to be honest. That and life is stupid busy. Probably won't be able to log every session here. I work/travel almost half of the hours i exist from Monday to Friday at the moment.

Will probably just pop in now and then. I dunno. Am tired.
