Tuesday 04/01/2010 - gym: 10 min warm up on x trainer, puny weights on resistance machines, 4k in just over 30 mins followed by cool down on treadmill. Little bit of stretching.
No aches today, maybe i didn't try hard enough. Might go back tomorrow, then TKD on Friday for first time in about a month.

it was the first TKD class after the break tonight but i didn't go. This was because a) I already had loads of stuff to lug around with me all day and b)Ireland seem wise fo go on just three jours sleep. I'm amazed I'm still awake now TBH!
I probably wallked for about an hour.

rest

Sunday 09/91/2011

Walking| over an hour, probably plus another hour later unless I coincide with the once hourly buses!

Taekwondo! :) 1.5 hours which forms week 0 of a six week block of training. It was pretty hard going for week zero!
Our instructor suggested we all think about our next year's training. Where we want to be this time next year, goals etc. To be honest right now my goal is just to still be training in 12 months time. I've got so much on right now that aiming to train twice every week until June seems just about a realistic goal. I'm aiming for one gym visit per week too, to make the membership worthwhile. Maybe I can train a bit at home but there isn't a lot of space and I'm not that motivated to do so, aside Fromm a bit of stretching in the mornings. That is potentially doable!

Well good things come to those who wait. You've got to be in it to win it and all that...

Lack of sleep, bad typing and bad automatic spelling correction. I probably meant "it didn't seem wise to go on just three hours sleep..."
And looking at the number of mistakes in those few sentences I reckon I was right. :p

Walking - over an hour

Walking - over an hour
Taekwondo - 1.5 hours. Broadly similar to Sunday. Supposedly "gentle" but that's not the first word i would choose to describe it! We ran through all the patterns to our grade plus got to have a go at the next one up (copying the moves, just twice). It was a good refresher and i think the taster of the next pattern was intended as a motivator for certain people.
Walked up lots of stairs, well, three flights four times plus various single flights. Planted the idea / reminded me about stair running as a sport! There was a. Stair running thing in blackpool torr or somewhere IIRC. Anyway that's beside the point! So far so good this week :)

Monday 17/01/2010

Walking: 1 hour max

Tuesday 18/01/2010

Walking about and hour
TKD 1.5 hours.
Felt quite unfit and inflexible today. I don't think it was a particularly demanding class but it was hard work and not in a good way. I wasn't able to concentrate or put 100% into even the bits that weren't too physical, e.g. Technical pattern work.

I am currently nursing a cold. It arrived on Afriday, but maybe it was brewing for a few days before would explain the weariness on Tuesday and also feeling tired on Weds. I actually felt good on Thursday but like utter shite yesterday.

Anyway, physical activity:

Wednesday 19/01/2011

Walking about 45 minutes

Thursday 20/01/2011

Walking maybe an hour max

Friday 21/01/2011

walking again an hour max

Saturday 22/01/2011

Nothing

Best cure for cold: shit loads of water and louder kiyas. My club was very casual as to our individual kiyas so I became fond of "BEEER!", and a friend of mine would finish every pattern with "TIMMAAYYY!"

Made me chuckle anyway...
