Training with a friend who got me a one week membership at her gym. It was pretty good, two squat cages and two bench racks
so 100% more than at my current gym...

KB high swings for warm-up: 16 kg x 20.

Bench press: Bar x 10. 40 kg x 5. 45 kg, 4 x 5.

Deadlift: Bar x 10. 70 kg x 5. 80 kg, 4 x 5.

OH press: Bar x 5. 25 kg, 4 x 5.

Calf raise: 40 kg, 3 x 10.

Tried a dance aerobics class at SATS today. A lot of spins, twirls and pirouettes - hard but fun!

Warm-up: KB high swing, 16 kg x 20.

Squat: Bar x 10. 65 kg, 5 x 5. Pretty easy and in good form. :)

Chin-ups: 3, 3, 3, 2, 1. Wide hammer grip on the squat cage, felt a little weird.

Back extension: 10 kg, 3 x 10.

Pull overs, lying on bench: 15 kg plate, 3 x 8.

Calf raise on one leg holding 15 kg plate: 3 x 10 each side.

Plank: 2 min.

Tired today and thought about going a little lighter on the DL or do fewer sets. But as it happened, I had
to take turns with a woman who was doing 5 x 5 with 80 kg. She was bigger than me and I was wearing
a tanktop with an animal rights message so obviously couldn't lift less than her! :D

Bench press: Bar x 10. 40 kg x 5. 45 kg, 3 x 5. 40 kg x 5.

Deadlift: Bar x 10. 60 kg x 5. 80 kg, 5 x 5.

OH press: Bar x 5. 25 kg, 4 x 5. Bar x 5.

Neck raise x 20.

Sounds like a potential training partner? Did you discuss spotting you on the bench?

Unfortunately not, this was not at my regular gym. I've been going to the same gym for nearly three years now and feel like a change, so I'm researching other places... It's a big decision! Right now I'm leaning towards starting at a cheaper gym and adding climbing and yoga lessons to that.

120503: Went to a seminar about women and strength training with hoffmeister and Kraft. As part of this we tried some
exercises, a couple of them with cords and medicinball were new to me. There was some talk about the importance of stability
training, which was a good reminder. I know I should be doing more of that...

Did some deadlifts afterwards: Bar x 10, 60 kg x 5, 80 kg, 5 x 5.

Haven't done any proper exercise for over a week due to being tired and having a slight cold. :(

I did some power yoga today, 45 min and feeling quite stiff but it lifted my mood a little. Not
getting to train is making me a bit grumpy!
