Ay the weather here is great. Feels like home. Will be back to grey and miserable soon so I'm making the most of it!

In other news, I have signed up for the Greater London Powerlifting Championships. Will be in the 66kg group. My goal is to beat my best comp total from last year which was 355kg in the 82kg class.

So I have five weeks of training until that, will try and work out a routine to get me there.

Thinking I might also do this comp, need to sign up for a semester at Bethnal Green, what days do you train on?

I'm there for:
Monday PL 6-8pm
Thursday PL 6-8pm
Saturday PL 12-2pm

You'll need to signup quickly, because I know most days are filling up/full.

Also, you need to be a member of GBPF to lift in the comp.

Edit: Monday/Tuesday/Thursday nights are fully booked. Saturday 12-2pm has a few spaces only if you book it quick. They are cracking down on numbers because in the last few months heaps of new people are coming in. You may need to wait until January to enroll for the week nights.

Thursday, 6/10

BW at home this morning: 66kg
BW at gym this evening: 67.5kg

Squats
5 x 60kg
3 x 80kg
1 x 100kg
1 x 110kg
1 x 120kg
1 x 125kg
another 1 x 125kg

...had Martin speak to me about my squats today during my warmup. Wanted me to try and not go so deep as he thinks I'm making it harder for myself once it gets heavy. Made a conscious effort to not go so low, but it just feels wrong. I'll try and work on it.

Bench
5 x 40kg
3 x 50kg
1 x 60kg, paused
1 x 67.5kg, paused
1 x 72.5kg, forgot to pause, meh
1 x 72.5kg, paused - good

Wide grip pullups
6, 6, 5

Pushups 5 x12
Planks 3x45sec, 3x60sec

Happy with it today. My best comp (paused) bench is 70kg, so if I can repeat todays efforts in the comp I'd be hitting my target.

I'm working on this too. I moved the safety bars up one notch to force myself (still hit them lightly at times :( ), also i used a mirror a few times (in a legit non disco way ;) ) and am trying to build in some properception.

never had properception which was why i went so low. Was only way i knew i was breaking parralel.

Thursday, 13/10

Squats
5 x 60kg, 3 x 80kg, 3 x 90kg
3 x 100kg
3 x 110kg
2 x 120kg

...working on depth. I'm a bit hit-or-miss with getting it right each time.

Deadlifts
5 x 60kg
3 x 100kg
3 x 120kg
3 x 140kg

Wide pullups: 3
HG chins: 2x5

no strength left for pulls today, hence the low numbers
