Sat -
11 mile run - got totally lost in some fields down near Brighton. Kind of funny - but also kind of wrecked my run :-) Still I was stiff and didn't want to cane my legs before tomorrow, maybe it was a blessing!

Sun
71 mile bike - Burgess Hill Classic, was really happy to have made it through this one - it's 20 miles more than my longest this year. Was pretty hilly too (6000 ft) ..... also the sun came out to play :-)

Ahem.... another smal holiday from the log.... never mind, eh.

Mon
3 miles easy
2400m swim

Tue
7 miles - speedwork

Wed
Slight plantar in left heel, so bumping the turbo to friday when I'm doing a longer ride. Foot up with lots of ice....

Thurs
7 mile run, quite stiff from speedwork, so just a mid paced run.
2500m swim, main set 600 race pace, 400 steady, 200 race pace, 4 x 50 race on 1min

Fri
30 mile bike, wet and soggy but a nice group of people going out to cheer on some guys on a local TT.
2 x 12 BR, BC, SP

Left heel is still sore, but manageable, I think it'll fix with stretching but I'm not sure I should be running 40 miles tomorrow. I'll decide in a few hours...

Yeah, yeah, yeah .... :-) More sport less logging, I say! So I've got a club sprint 16th next month , then a half iron the weekend after (it's called the swashbuckler). I'm really looking forward to our lake swims opening too - should be start of May :-)

Sat
9 mile run .... lovely in the sun
1300m swim (something wrong was 20 secs slower / 100m that usual!)
3x BR, BC & SP

Sun
50 mile bike. Was heading out for 100 but after the slow swim yesterday, and my quads really complaining today. I cut it short and will have a rest day tomorrow. (not enough rest days)

Mon
Rest day .... wow that felt good

Tue
7.5 mile run
2x12 BR. BC & SP

Wed
Brick Session
50 mins turbo (spinervals hills)
15 min run

The day off really helped, and this brick was infinitely better than previous - was ticking along at 9.5 mph for most. Happy with that....

Yeah .. not ideal is it? But it was a charity thing and also good practise for the DIM (7k in a 25m pool!) ... fortunately my totally cool fiancee got me a swimman waterproof ipod a few months ago. So 5k was actually just rotating my arms while rinsing some dirty bass..... :-)

Sun
103 mile bike - 6400ft ascent. So first century of the season - and what a stunning, sunny day. Out in the full vegan cyclist shorts and short jersey - nice! So this was pretty hilly for the first century - kind of got to me at about 65, but I think that was fuelling. We were fully back on it by the end - doing the last 10 miles @ 20+ mph (ave for the whole ride only 15 though .... had some 'moments' :-))

Felt strong - was on winter hack, not my TT bike - and could have gone on (although not sure I could have done another 125 miles today!). I a couple of months though .. I'll be there.

Wed - Brick session
20 mile bike - first outing on the TT bike this year. Mmmmmmmhhhhhh fast.....
4 mile run - Another good brick, ticking along at 8.3 - 9 mph which was a surprise considering I felt quite sore at the start.

.. I've done 21.5 miles since the start of this 100 days thing. Not a lot .. but it's a start :-)
