Wednesday 90 min Turbo Session

Standard length of this session but uped the heart rate 10 beats. Ouch!!

20 min warm up
5 x 1 min @ 52x12
3 x 2 min @ 52x14
2 x 3 min @ 52x16
2 x 5 min @ 52x18
2 x 3 min @ 52x16
3 x 2 min @ 52x14
5 x 1 min @ 52x12
(all with 1 min easy spin recovery)
10 min cool down

Incidentally the turbos got put into the garage to make it presentable for mums arrival, but have now made it back to the hall. Mum has the spare room!!

Thursday 1 hour cross country run

WE HAVE SNOW .... about 3 to 4 inches at the moment ....... looks like it's going to be a white Christmas.

Now that's what I call cross country running, an hour in the snow....loadsa fun!

It's 7.30 and I have finally finished wrapping presents, I have made Vegan Christmas cake and a Vegan mincemeat, cranberry and Walnut tart. (Mincemeat was homemade and is yummy!) Going to get ahead and make a Chestnut and Mushroom roast en croute for tomorrow.

My mum has eaten vegan meals for 5 days now. Have even convinced her to try the Vegan Christmas dinner tomorrow. She has also asked me to make some of the Vegan things that I have made for her in the past.

Sunday 45 min Cross Country run with 5 x 5 min at threshold.

+ 6 hours of driving to go to a family party?

At least we are the right side of the shortest day (21st Dec).

Wednesday 1 hour run medium pace

Had about 4" of snow in the end followed by lots of sleet. Fields are ankle deep in cold water so decided to go on the slushy roads. Also had signs of a slight head cold for a couple of days so being careful.

Steady pace run down to Avebury and around Brookhouse Farm and back.

Yummy New Year Breakfast of Mango, Pineapple and Papaya fruit smoothie with hemp protein.

Head cold cleared up and legs ready to go again. Could do with some decent weather now, it was -7 degrees this morning on top of the hill where we live.

Just looking at the Hellvelyn triathlon and its really apealling somehow. Especially like the look of the run. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SxZChfJGobY

Only problem is the clash with Edinburgh Duathlon. Gotta say that Hellvelyn is more like my thing, so some serious second thaughts.

Tuesday 1 hour XC run

College closed at 12pm today because of the snow. :lol:
Took ages to get home 15-20mph along the main road!

Just had a fab run around Bringsty in the snow. No one around except sheep.

Having a relaxed day with Turbo session. So easy to train when you don't have to go to work.
