Sunday Suicide Six (ish)

Multi-terrain race at Baggeridge Country Park.
Lots of mud, lots of hills, lots of the course under water, more mud, river crossing, did I mention the mud!
The main river crossing was cancelled, river was too high, too fast! However with water all the way along the towpath, I think we were wet enough.
Lots of bottlenecks on the course, practically jogging at times, so not a day to be worrying about time!

Tuesday

1 hour 45 min cross country run.
over fields, around Bringsty, round Brockhampton , over the Downs and back over fields.
More mud! and plenty of floods.

2000m swim
with 10 x 100m (coming in in 1:35 to 1:40)
and 10 x 50m (coming in in 43 to 45 sec)

40 min turbo set
Spinervals 4.0 "Muscle Breakdown"
Acceleration sets and 2 min intervals

100 sit ups (4 X 25)
75 Press ups (25,20,15,10,5) Should do these when fresher! Urgh technique gone to pot.

45 min run with approx 5 X 4 min intervals
I say approx because it was dark on the Bromyard course, with no chance of reading a watch. Must set the beep!

Monday

Have signed up for the Spinervals Super6 December Challenge. 32 days of turbo (875 miles!)
It's part 2 of coach Troy's prgram, I've just done phase 1, so I thought why not?

Still have to mix in the run and swim.
Usual swimming pool is closed for refurbishmenall December, so I'm trying out a few other localish pools.

Swim 2000m with 15 X 100m

Run 1 hour 15 min on the Malverns Worcestershire Beacon course.
Approx 5 x 5 min hard

Turbo 1 hour 25 min Spinervals 17.0

Tuesday

Spinervals Threshold test
50 min session with
20 min threshold test.

Held 172 average for the 20 min. But plenty left in the tank at the end. So all in all, I'm not pushing the intervals hard enough on the turbo.
