Operation Growth Spurt

Postby Wobbly Lifter » Sat Jun 28, 2014 12:38 am

I think I'm finally ready to put the effort into eating and lifting again. I made a big move over the last year, leaving my job delivering mail to pursue an apprenticeship as an electrician. My job is still physical but I have energy left at the end of most days and intend to harness it. I plan to lift weights, bike lots, and occasionally climb and do yoga. Eating big has usually been more of a problem for me than exercise so I'm going to have to focus energy there. My lifting has been so-so lately but I think I'll be back on track pretty quickly as it's always enjoyable. I've been biking to work so I'm getting at least 30 km a week, but I also bike to my girlfriends house at times so it's up to 100+ km some weeks, which maybe a bit much so not writing off driving yet. Haven't lifted in a while so I just did some dead lifts today

Sounds like a semi death shake :)
Good to have you back on the metal.

I'm used to the big shakes so I digest them no problems, although I'm sure it could kill a lesser man.

30/06/2012
Weight:159lbs
Squats
5x45lbs
5x95lbs
5x115lbs
5x120lbs
3x5x125lbs

Still weak as a babe - less than I used to warmup with. Going to be easing into things as I'm an old man now.

Push Press
5x45lbs
5x65lbs
2x5x75lbs

That's it. Like I said, I'm easing back into it. Time to have shake.

Went to a music festival last weekend so haven't had a chance to lift in a while, but I was quite active for the weekend. Dancing, biking, walking, too a yoga class, etc. Weight is the same but feeling less fat, which is good.

Broke my collarbone in a bicycle accident so going to be focusing on the eating part of operation growth spurt for the next month. At least I gained some weight; was 161 pounds tonight. Going to do body weight squats and lunges once my energy level is back up.
