That's so true! I can be in the gym and feel the need to go but 10 minutes later after a jog or some heavy lifting and serious sweating the urge has gone.

Hilariously my body still has the magical ability to retain water AND be dehydrated at the same time. So I don't hesitate to drink as much as I can.

Tues Sept 8

Postby BlueRose » Tue Sep 08, 2009 12:35 pm

Breakfast - Cliff bar - 250

Mid-morning - banana, Luna bar, 10-cal Vitamin water - 280

Lunch - veggie sub with mustard - ~250

Mid-afternoon - veggie burger, banana - 185

Dinner - pasta salad (whole grain penne with diced peppers and a really yummy spicy marinade dip, sprinkled on top with vegan chipotle parm) and an iron supplement. Vegan chic patty with rice pepperjack cheese - ~410

Exercise - Biked to and from work, total 20 miles.

I'm wicked excited. Why? Today I met my fitness goal I set for myself a month ago--I'm now capable of biking to and from work. The hill to get to the entrance is a bitch, however. :P

Wed Sept 9

Breakfast - soy yogurt - 160

Took multivitamin pill. I like Rainbow Light's multi for women. Good stuff.

Mid-morning - Luna bar - 180

Lunch - veggie sub with mustard - ~350

Mid-afternoon - veggie burger - 110

Dinner - a mixture of wild rice, channa masala, and heirloom beans with a side of cucumbers and celery. Guessing about ~300. Can you tell I had Whole Foods salad bar again? :D

Snack - half toasted bagel with some vegan tuna salad on top. ~200

Exercise - Biked four miles, which feels like nothing. Worked out on elliptical for 45 min. Claims I burned 740 calories, which I call a Big Fat Lie(TM). Probably more like 350.

Didn't bike to work today as my goal is to ease into doing it more often but start out doing it 1-2 times per week.

Personal note: must exercise in morning. Better than caffeine. I was never more alert in that early morning hour EVER than after that bike ride. :D Was awesome.

Yeah good on you for getting into your biking. Best like you say to ease into it :)

Cars at the garage so get to bike into work tomorrow(30odd miles there and back over a nice 1000ft hill) which means 3rides for me this week. First time in ages so Yay!

Yeah it's amazing how fast the 10 miles go. I stop a few times for water and what-not and it still takes me less than an hour. Beautiful, beautiful trail too:

The hills to and from the main entrance of my place of work are a BITCH. I can just barely get there to enter and forget leaving--I walk my bike up the steepest part and ride the rest.

The mileage isn't an issue anymore, though. I've been biking the trail on the weekends plus running errands. 18 miles Sat, another 25 Sun.

Very cool! :D I love biking. I'm a total addict right now, lol.

I need to take my car to the shop also. Only prob is getting back; place I'd take it to is on a major roadway. I'll have to ask around about getting to a bike trail or someplace bike friendly from there.

Breakfast - soy yogurt - 160

Mid-morning - Luna bar - 180

Lunch - Soup will be the mid-afternoon snack or saved for tomorrow as I'll be having the bestest roasted vegetable, hummus, and avocado wrap EVER!! Guessing ~350.

Mid-afternoon - Luna bar - 180

Exercise - 45 min on elliptical, about 40 or so reps on the chest press for 20 lbs. I like getting as much upper arm exercise in as I can.

Went to a wine tasting cruise. They had some vegan appetizers I can eat, so was my dinner. This item in particular made me squee:

Toasted Lavash and Pita Chips
accompanied by toasted red pepper hummus & tabouli

OM NOM NOM

Fri Sept 11

Postby BlueRose » Fri Sep 11, 2009 12:25 pm

Breakfast - Soy yogurt - 160

Mid-morning - Luna bar - 180

Lunch - Half container of vegan apple pumpkin curry soup - 165

Mid-afternoon - Organic instant noodles - 190

Dinner - Veggie burger with rice pepper jack cheese - 165

Snack - half toasted bagel with some vegan tuna salad on top, plus glass of wine. ~300

Exercise - Forgot I had a major event I had to be at until 9. Guess today is my day off. :)

I'm getting toned and am trying to keep off the water weight that loves to make my fingers swell and stomach bloat, but not losing inches yet. Guessing the biking isn't enough and glad I tacked on elliptical and weights.

Breakfast - soy yogurt -160

Mid-morning - Luna bar -180

Lunch - veggie sub with mustard - ~350

Dinner - veggie bento box. Long live Whole Foods. 16 pieces veg sushi, some edamame, and salad. Guessing about ~400.

Arms are sore, but not in a bad way. They needed some love. Not sure what I'll do when I'm in Ireland but I guess I'll be on hiatus from exercise from Fri until the following Wed.

LOL No, I don't. I'm still revving up my metabolism and eating too much in one sitting (especially in the morning) makes me sick besides.

But yeah, trying to drop about 10-15 or so. :)
