MAX SQUAT DAY

squat
5x70
3x70
2x70
1x120
wraps:
1x170
1x210
1x235

ugly ass rep! slow and grindy! I dont think i can just go up in a linear way next month, i think i will nail a double with 220-225. No, 225, thats it, a promise.

squat with a 3 second pause at bottom
1x160
1x170
1x180

that was fun, should do these more, and they killed my legs.

2 sets of abs and a ab cramp ended the show :)

I think I have a new goal. I wanna beat you on them overhead events. 13 reps on axle and a log of what is it atm? 120? Sounds doable 8)
I just love me some challenges!

Do you use it as deload/rest week or is there any other purpose with isolation exercises?

aye, fuck, its called a deload week, but i detest that word above anything else in the whole wide WORLD! :D

really dont want the rest, mainly because of some suboptimal sessions of late, might need to do a bit extra today, depends what my trainng partner who is preparing for a competition is planning to do (always support training partners who have a comp coming, training crew rule!)

ok missed last thursdays session, strong powerlifter with 220 bench visited the warehouse and my pressing felt meagre :)

narrow grip board press
5x70
5x70
8x70
3x100
3x110
3x120
4x130

ok that went better than i expected :) When my log was as its best i was doing 3-5 x 140 on board press, that seems doable now...

strict press of blocks
5x50
5x70
1x80
1x90
8x80
8x70

tri pushdowns with bands

TODAY!

it was all about fun - so i took the squat suit out :D first time after englands strongest man 2011.

warming up with the bar

squat suit on, straps down
5x70
5x70
1x120
1x120
straps up
1x170
knee wraps:
1x200
1x220
1x240
2x250

pleased with that, it was BRUTAL! The weight felt like a ton and the pain was nice. I know i am just doing this for aimless fun but i guess there is some carryover to strongman, in some way, somewhere, maybe...

log practise
3x70
1x90
1x100
3x80
3x80
3x80

tricep band pushdowns and some band curls
abs on the GHD machine
