Oohhh, I'm really excited about the gym and I don't even lift. Will come down and get some PBs and carry some stuff, or whatever it is you, do when you're installed :)

what ever power i can muster, i will need it!

last few days have been crazy and came to teh training session with sore legs and not much energy. Even the booster couldnt pick me up.

REPETITION OVERHEAD DAY

log
5x50
5x50
3x80
6x100 - BLAH!!! same rep number than a month ago, dammit!
1x100
1x100
1x100
1x100
1x100

tech was shit, no real leg drive...

strict press
3x80
1x90
2x95

...but the pressing power seems to be there. So lets chalk this failure to make more reps with 100 as a leg problem.

dips
20
20
20

tricep band pushdowns

lat raises and front raises

...max deadlift tomorrow...

DEADLIFT MAX DAY

nervous about this, had a crazy day with super nervous negotiations with landlord about potential gym place - its still far from being in the bag. So expect more posts about being nervous :D

didnt eat anything during the day! (my version of nothing, just two protein shakes, break rolls, some chocolate soya milk and nuts)

DEADLIFT

last time around i nailed 1x240, i wanted 1x245, lets go:
5x60
5x60
3x100
3x130
1x180
1x210
2x245 - yes!

far from my all time best, but love that the strength is being built back slowly!

shrugs
6x60
6x110
6x160
15x210
15x210
20x160
20x160

hyper extensions

let supported row, 3 sets

sometimes it happens this way. Leading up to this was suboptimal with so much to do workwise and running around all day stressing, and delivery trucks coming in the middle of my squat warm ups, and still with a help of a friendly slap in the head from a training partner it all turned out ok.

SQUAT MAX REPETITION DAY
5x20
5x20
5x70
5x70
5x70
(do you get the idea it was fucking freezing in teh warehouse?)
1x120
1x120
wraps:
1x170
1x170
10x190 - BOOM!

got two more reps than my target for the day. wanktastic.

ok, after this i was seeing stars and not up for much

two runs with a sled - almost vomit time
couple sets of abs
couple sets of red band leg extensions

fin.

MAX OVERHEAD DAY

sometimes you just dont listen to your body and plough on regardless. This was one of those days. Legs were still done from tuesday, so lacked overhead drive, blah. Need to rethink this because max overhead will always follow max rep squat and i am battered from it for a while.

LOG
bullshit, failed with 122.5 twice

Push press from blocks
bullshit, after nice double with 110, failed 120 twice

ok after whining about lack of leg drive, i had to prove it to myself it was indeed the reason and not an overall lack of strength.

LOG STRICT PRESS
5x70
2x80
1x90
1x95
1x100

felt strong, ok, leg excuse is approved.

yoke press
12 x 80

some lateral raises.

Points to remember:
1. Might need to move things around so that heavy overhead with leg drive is not done with tuired legs, or get better at recovery.
2. Need more heavy tricep work, board presses need to be higher on the agenda (currently only occasionally on teh agenda at all!)
