considering your recent success in a completely different sport I don't know why you keep talking about this nonsense. you belong in the velodrome on a track bike! ;)

Clem, you asked about shoulder mobility. Its ok now, not much different from what it used to be unfortunately. When tendon tears they have to cut the scar tissue out so in theory it is even shorter than before.

Didn't know that, though I should have guessed. In that case it's a result that the mobility isn't any worse, I suppose.

Looks like you're making a great recovery, good luck with the comp. Try not to tear anything, unless it's a copy of the Yellow Pages.

2 questions JP:

are you a paid up member of 3 gyms or do you pay as you train?
do you know if they hold euro or worlds under 105kg strongman comps?

The sugden centre is university gym so i get a staff discount for my membership there, so thats cheap.

Olympic sports gym - The Best Gym Ever - is 3 pounds a go, and so is dungeon (which is just a guy with strongman equipment in his garage :D )

yeah they should be having worlds this year, dont think they held one last year though. It is still very disorganised - but all strongman is run as a business, not as a proper sport, so "worlds" is not really a proper world championship.

oh and i forgot addlington, where i havent been able to go due to workplace moving incomveniently and the train times :(

but thats 2 pounds/session - including coaching

Today:

3+hr walking in pennines. Pretty steep climb which was not a problem on the way there, but on the way back it murdered my legs.

yeah a few times :D mark is a great host, really drives you, and makes us do really evil medleys to finish :D

been a while now though because of the injury and all. Planning to go back again during the summer when i can go for it a bit more.

OLYMPIC SPORTS GYM

Started suboptimally when two out of three guys didnt even show up to the meeting place, and the third one was very late.

no plan today, so just tagged along what ever was there do get some work in.

Axle clean and jerk

5x40
5x40
3x40
2x55
2x65
1x75
1x80
1x85
1x90
1x95

cleans were rubbish, pressing comfy.

jerks off blocks (what is it with lifting rom blocks, just feels tons heavier than from the rack, or after a clean?!?)
5x60
5x60
5x70
3x80
2x85
1x90

nah not today

Viking press

fair few sets of 5s. Solid piece of equipment.

back squats
5x60
5x100
2x130
2x150
2x155

Then some attempts at overhead lockouts standing in a rack. Dont think this will work, seated would probably be tons better.

Smallsey was busy with the stones, and while spotting couldnt help but to load the 90kg one to low platform and then once on 58 inch high one. Damn i miss the stones...
