my Plan to train a bit every day has not worked so well so far!

At least getting some training in, but like on wednesday after putting together some big orders and lugging around heavy parcels around the warehouse simply didnt have any ammo left for training.

I can only hope my body gets used to this soon :)

...then again, lifting and carrying 50kg boxes is kind of training too...

Anyway, got some in yesterday:

log strict press
5x50
5x50
3x70
3x82.5
2x85
1x87.5
6x70
6x70
6x70

squat
5x70
1x120
1x150

and then had to get back to work.

Nice little session today at The Showroom with local strongman Chris, makes a big difference to train with someone.

Power snatch (the reason for many power snatches is the highland games next weekend, no idea about the events but if anything they will be explosive!)
3x40
3x40
2x50
1x60
1x70
1x70 - better
1x80
1x85 - just 7.5 under my pb, happy!
3x70

tested log power jerks a bit, just to 102, felt ok. maybe with a bit of work could get the log above 120 again in couple months...

deadlifts from just under knee ball (19inch i would say)
3x120
1x170
1x220
3x250

pullups, different grips
10
10
12

easy when bodyweight is so low...

two sets of curlz

almost forgot my mondays wee session with Buzzman visiting!

Squats as a warm up to 125 - knee is a bit funny, not too keen on going heavier with the squats just now

tried barbell push pressing, but its suboptimal for my wrist, went to 3x90 and decided to go to the log

in log just up to 3x95

then some strict logging, cant remember but not heavy. More akin of shoulders like boulders pump styleee.

then quarter dips for triceps and curls for biceps, beach season is here!

looking forward to it man :)

Yesterdays training was cancelled due to extra work at the warehouse, then again, did need to move like zillion kg of stuff around, GRAFT!

Today had a go at the highland games events. Competition is tomorrow, its a team comp, and we have a strongman team, plus one strong bodybuilder and one shot putter.

Events are deceptively hard, light weights but a lot of work, like farmers is for 200 metres.

9 events in total, each team member sits out couple events, so should be nailing 7 events tomorrow.

farmers
log drag race
stone lifting (70, 90, 110 to pretty high platform, not strongman stones, but these really small dense ones)
weight for height
sack toss
stone put
hammer throw
barrel roll
caber toss

my favourites were log drag and weight for height, love them.

farmers should be ok, or i should be shot in shame

caber toss is fucking impossible, so technical and difficult. Could toss the wee one, but the medium one didnt even get close.

lets see tomorrow :)

full report to follow!

1x60
1x70
2x75

front squat
5x70

i wish my wrist was ok to do fronts, love them! But alas, no.

abs

1x72
1x82
3x82
5x82

fuck it :)
