I always figure, if I can lift about half the weight you do on any exercise I'm doing ok!

rattus i feel the same about some of the big boys :D

thanks guys!

yeah the depth is probably borderline ok, but always good to maintain a habit of a good depth, no particular reason for me as a strongman, but old habits die hard and high squatting even harder...

yesterdays session:

Log push press from blocks
getting it to chest is a wrestle...
5x62
5x62
3x82
3x92
3x102
3x112
2x117

lame pbs by default on push press

strict log - with a proper clean, tons better
1x62
1x82
1x92
3x102 - pb
7x92
6x92

5 sets of machine shoulder press

1 set of high rep lat raises

burn.

went in yesterday with the aim to pull either 255 for double or 270 for new pb.

but during the 255 pull felt the good ole lower back vertebrae joint pop, so dumped it there. It came off the floor so easy! Bodes well...

i am a veteran with this injury, i think i will be good to squat on friday, if not, i will just squat on saturday.

finished with some LATS OF DOOM work, wide grip machine rows 5 sets. One set of guns.

injuries are just part of this game, so just have to work with them, preventing them as much as possible, and learn to cope with them/recover as fast as possible. Its just the way it is, bullshit sport :)

but i guess any sport pushed to limits has the same...

Still two weeks to cash in the pbs before The Move. Today OSG session guest starring legendary promotor Will, and his crew, as well as lancashires finest Chaos and Pete.

Log
5x62
1x62
1x72

1x112
1x122
1x132 - pb, comfy, edging onwards...

Squat
5x70
1x70
2x120
1x170
wraps:
1x210
2x230 - pb double

outside:
couple farmers feelups

tyre:
severall singles, tech work
then a double
another double
then a fiver
then a single
then a six repper

tomorrow loading and resetting at Champions of the future, will put on my training gear so can do GRAFT on the resetting!

Solid work! 132 log looked quite impressive...

thanks mate :)

Its funny how much easier it always looks than it feels :D

But all being well i will go for 135 on sunday in lancaster...

Today, only one number in mind...

Deadlift
5x70
5x70
3x70
1x70
1x70
1x70
2x120
1x170
1x220
1x250
1x270 - pb, loved it!
fx275 - that boat had sailed

the way 270 felt should have good deal more, but probably will be over a month before climbing to those numbers again.

Glute injury was playing up so left it there, ceps too sore to do rows. Haha, age doesnt seem to come alone...

glute was sore from tuesdays deadlifting, and was not really sure what to do or should i dump the session, pep talk from mark and set just modest goals.

squat
5x70
5x70
1x70
1x120
1x170
wraps:
1x200
1x200
1x220
1x230

ok enough but a bit painful, but nice to hit that number even on a day like this

stiff leg deads standing on mats
(stretching effect)
7 sets of 5-8 reps with 70-120

4 sets of machine rows

sunday session in lancaster!

huge crew present, awesome banter, fun day out - the best way to spend a sunday :D

Log
3x70
1x90
1x105
1x115
then bailed out, was feeling a bit dizzy anyway and after the 125 clean was not feeling it. Also been hitting heavy singles for too long, should go back to repping now anyway in preparation for finlands.

tyre flips few here and there and then:

5 flips with tyre + 20m farmers with 125kg - 36 seconds, farmers were slooooow... lack of warm up could have been why, and also that i am not very fast in the best of times either.

power stairs drive training
185kg for singles doubles and some triples

some 108kg sandbag work, but not much, my wrist was not too happy with it.

sled drag with a sandbag 20m

two drags with sandbag +25kg for 20m

and all essential jumps in the end.

fun day.

quick late one last night, good crew of grafters on the log so got some work in, instead of just nailing heavy singles.

strict log
5x62
3x62
1x82
1x92
1x102
fx112 - cheeky attempt really

log push press
1x92
6x102
6x102
8x102

this should be good training for the finlands viking i think... (apart from actually doing viking!)

log strict
10x82

ran out of time.
