A bit of a crap session, maybe I underestimated the impact yesterdays evening session would have on todays morning session?

Cleans felt pretty good, jerks not perfect. Both jerks on 110 were reasonably close, but was not fast enough under the bar. Afterwards I came to the conclusion that a very brief pause on the bottom of the drive has a good influence on the jerk.

Clean & Jerk:
40kg: 1x2, 50kg: 1x2, 60kg: 1x2, 70kg: 1x2, 80kg: 1x2, 90kg: 1x1, 95kg: 1x1, 100kg: 1x1, 105kg: 1x1, 110kg: 2xf (fail on jerk)
Jerk:
90kg: 4x1
Clean pull:
100kg: 2x3, 110kg: 2x3
Powersnatch from below knee:
60kg: 3x2, 65kg: 2x2
Back squat:
60kg: 5x5

95kg snatched proved to be elusive. 3rd attempt was reasonably close, then things went downhill.

Snatch:
40kg: 1x3, 50kg: 1x3, 60kg: 1x2, 65kg: 1x2, 70kg: 1x2, 75kg: 1x1, 80kg: 1x1, 85kg: 1x1, 90kg: 1x1, 95kg: 5xf
Snatch pull:
95kg: 5x3
Powerclean from below knee:
70kg: 2x3, 80kg: 3x3
Front squat:
60kg: 5x5

111021
Pulled something in my ass on the snatches. Quite annoying as it stopped me from doing any real work for the rest of the session. Except curls.

Squat:
60kg: 3x5
Snatch:
40kg: 1x3, 50kg: 1x3, 60kg: 1x3, 60kg: 1x1
Lying barbell row:
60kg: 1x10, 80kg: 1x6, 90kg: 3x5, 100kg: 2x3
Press:
30kg: 1x5, 40kg: 3x5, 45kg: 2x5, 50kg: 1x5
BB curls:
40kg: 3x5

111024
Thought my ass-injury was gone, but the second 80kg snatch was a bit forward, and this provoked the injury apparently. [insert joke about pain in the ass]

Snatch:
40kg: 1x3, 50kg: 1x2, 60kg: 1x1, 65kg: 1x1, 70kg: 1x1, 75kg: 1x1, 80kg: 2x1
Power snatch:
60kg: 1x2, 70kg: 2x2, 80kg: 1x1, 90kg: 2x1

Powersnatch:
40kg: 1x3, 50kg: 1x3, 60kg: 1x2, 70kg: 1x3
Clean & Jerk:
60kg: 1x2, 70kg: 1x1, 80kg: 1x1, 90kg: 1x1

111029
Competition: Eiche Wien Ottaking - FAK Goliath - Swechat OMV 2
Attempts: 86, 92x, 92 - 105, 110x, 110
Reasonably happy with the results. I would have hoped for more, but on the day everything was hurting (this always happens, probably psychosomatic, but this time more than normally) so put down my expectations a bit. There was no real reason for failing both second attempts though, this seems to happen far too often on the snatch especially. Think I will have to do a few more heavy attempts in training and maybe also try to do smaller jumps in comp.
Oh, and my team (FAK Goliath) places second of the three teams, think we got something like 1129 points.

Snatch:
40kg: 2x3, 50kg: 1x2, 60kg: 1x2, 70kg: 1x1, 75kg: 1x1, 80kg: 1x1 (Warmup)
86kg: 1x2, 92kg: 1xf, 1x1 (attempts)
Clean & Jerk:
40kg: 1x2, 50kg: 1x2, 60kg: 1x2, 70kg: 1x1, 80kg: 1x1, 90kg: 1x1, 95kg: 1x1, 100kg: 1x1 (Warmup)
105kg: 1x1, 110kg: 1xf, 1x1

Training has been suboptimal lately. After the comp on 29/10 I got a back ache. Not too sever but it refused to go away, so hat to skip the next comp on 18th of nov. Have been training around the injury, upper body work and lifts from block. Also have some nagging pains in my hips/hips extendors or something like that. Knees have been fine, but then of course I have not put any stress on them so that is to be expected.

Yesterday was the Franz Mohar wanderpreis competition at the Eiche Wien Ottakring club. It is a team comp but not part of the league. Did not feel in good shape but since we are a bit short on people I decided to start anyway. It went well under the circumstances, went very conservative since I was afraid back and/or hip pain might give trouble. Didn't do any squat cleans though. During the warmup neither snatches nor CJ felt very good, but on the platform everything flew up easily (except the 105kg jerk) .Snatches were light, think I could have done 90 at least. Powercleans were also easy, just messed up the jerk on 105. Got a bit forward in the drive, drove the bar forward so couldnt really sink under it leading to a pressout.

Snatch:
75: 1x1, 80kg: 1x1, 85kg: 1x1
Clean & Jerk:
90kg: 1x1, 97kg: 1x1, 105kg: 1xf (presout)

Are you still having back and hip pain? Why don't you take off a year off from lifting to get better, dude?
