16 August 2008 - Saturday
Climbing with people from the rock climbing gym, but they showed me a local krag that had a few sport climbs on it. We didn't have much time before dark, so worked on a 5.8 and it was super fun :)

18 August 2008 - Monday
My log is getting repetative! Climbing at the rock climbing gym for 2 hours today. Did the whole travers (one way), next goal is to do it AND go back again. Tried a one-move dyno problem, but I'm terrible at dynos. Then faffed (my new VF vocabulary word) about on some easier bouldering problems and some sport climbs until my fingers started to swell so called it a day.

Right now I've gone and eaten too much, I started a new food blog (link in signature) and I am now stuffed on not only dinner, but a bunch of scones for desert :D . So tasty, but so bad for me!

Thanks gms, the donuts were amazing :) . I sometimes wonder why I bother keeping the blog, but I figure it will be good to look back on (and see why I've gained so much bodyfat  ).

19 August 2008 - Tuesday

*5 minute warm-up on an eliptical machine.

Squat: 10 x bar, 12 x 95 lbs, 10 x 135 lbs, 10 x 145 lbs (barely, had to pause after each one to breath after 6 reps), 10 x 145 lbs (same)

Leg Ext: 10 x 20 lbs, 10 x 20 lbs, 10 x 40 lbs
Leg Curl: 10 x 20 lbs, 10 x 40 lbs, 10 x 60 lbs - super setted these two. The machines at this gym are horrible, don't know if I'll use them again.

Bench: 10 x bar, 10 x 65 lbs, 10 x 75 lbs, 10 x 85 lbs, 7 x 90 lbs - much better than last week!

Skull Crushers: 3 x 10 x 32.5 lbs

*stretching

Good day in the gym, even though stomach has been a bit queesy today (must be all the junk food I've been eating!). Even cut the stretching short a little because it was making me feel worse.

And I have a few pictures from yesterday:

Thanks DPT, it is :)

21 August 2008 - Thursday

DL: 10 x 135 lbs, 10 x 175 lbs, 10 x 195 lbs, 8 x 205 lbs, 6 x 215 lbs

Chins: 2 x palms out, 2 x palms out, 2 x palms out, 4 x palms in

BB Shoulder Press: 10 x 45 lbs, 10 x 55 lbs, 5 x 65 lbs - strict press, super hard on that last set.

BB Bent Rows: 3 x 10 x 55 lbs

DB Shrugs: 20 x 30's, 15 x 35's, 15 x 35's

*stretching*

Hands still hurting pretty good this week in general but today particularly, but better than last week :D - I might need to take a few days off climbing until I can get the swelling in my fingers under control. My doctor upped my dosage of my NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflamatory drug). I hope that helps :)

24 August 2008 - Sunday
Stole my brother's mountain bike (thing weighs like a ton) and went for a bike ride this am. 1 hr 40 min on flat terrain. Nobody would loan me their vehicles so I had to start from home and its flat for miles where I live. I cycled out to the causeway gate at the edge of the Great Salt Lake, there is a road that goes out to one of the islands. I was going to cycle to the island, but there was a $3 toll and I hadn't brought any money, d'oh! Next time :)

Oh, and for the last two days I've been at school at ENDLESS meetings to get ready for classes that start tomarrow. Was boring, but they fed me really well :)

"Interesting"??? I think they look tasty, or mouth-watering DublinDave! ;)

25 August 2008 - Monday

Squat: 10 x bar, 12 x 95 lbs, 10 x 135 lbs, 8 x 155 lbs, 8 x 165 lbs, 10 x 135 lbs

SLDL: 10 x bar, 8 x 135 lbs, 8 x 135 lbs

Seated Calf: 10 x 45 lbs, 10 x 45 lbs, 10 x 45 lbs

That was it since I'm on a leg-only Monday routine. The leg extention and leg curl machines at my gym are a joke so I did stiff-leg deadlift (SLDL) instead. Well, I went a bit heavy on those and both hamstrings cramped up good & tight afterwards, and I'm going to be sore tomarrow! So, I left the workout at that (plus calf, but those hardly count :P ), could hardly limp out of the gym, but in a good way!

Been a good first day of classes so far since technically I haven't been to class yet  . It starts in half an hour (at 7:15 pm!).

Oh, and I took myself out to dinner to an all vegan restaurant after the gym. I went to Sage's Cafe and it was fabulous! Not at all what I remember (similar, but better). I even got dessert, a vegan tiramasu! *drool*. So tasty, but expensive so I won't do that very often :D

I have 12 credits and most are at reasonable times, but that one at night kills me! By the time it gets over and I catch the train home, it is very late at night  - oh well, at least its only on Mondays :)

26 August 2008 - Tuesday

Bench: 10 x bar, 10 x 65 lbs, 10 x 80 lbs, 9 x 90 lbs, 6 x 95 lbs, 2 x 105 lbs

Incline Bench: 10 x bar, 10 x 65 lbs, 8 x 65 lbs
Decline Bench: 10 x bar, 10 x 65 lbs, 10 x 65 lbs

Dips: 3 x 6 x bw - huge struggle today, but I forced these guys out :)

Chins: 0.5 x palms out, wide grip, 2 x palms out, 3 x palms in, 2 x palms in

*stretching

Good session today despite being tired from lack of sleep. Second day of classes is going well. I have a lot of reading to do!
