:D Glad you're feeling better, and were able to get in a marathon round of squatting!

Thanks Adena, it was totally a marathon, still sore after 4 days!

31 Jan 2013 - Thurs

Bench: 15 x bar, 15 x 70 lbs, 11, 11, 11 x 85 lbs

Dips: 10, 7, 7 x bw

Skull Crushers: 3 x 15 x 30 lbs

CGBP: 3 x 15 x 30 lbs

Shoulder rehab

Feeling even better today, but upper body and spine still "tender". Also, from this last bout of RA crap-land (I don't like the word "flare"), one of my toes has rotated a bit due to joint deterioration. Hurts like a devil and I'm getting sores on it and surrounding toes from it rubbing funny now in its new position. Fun times  . Explains why I couldn't wear anything but Crocs all last week.

4 February 2013

Bench: 12 x bar, 65 lbs, 10 x 85, 95, 95 lbs

Dips: 8, 8, 7 x bw

Skull Crushers: 3 x 10 x 40 lbs
CGBP: 3 x 10 x 40 lbs - right after skullies

Feeling better! Time to start working out again, been feeling "fat" lately but I know its all in my head because I haven't been to the gym. Now I just need a routine. Something flexible that can work around bad days. Something to build strength but perhaps something different that I've been doing for the last, oh, 8 years (squat, bench, deadlift/back and repeat). Ideas welcome! I'm limited to what equipment my generic gym has so nothing fancy. Last routine was high-reps (15), one before that was 5x5. If left to my own devises I will fall into my comfort zone of doing ~3 working sets of 8-10 reps.

Oh, also, so excited my Totobobo mask came in the mail today! totobobo.com for those itnerested. Should help with the pollution-induced problems I've been having!

6 Feb 2013 - Wed

Squat: 10 x bar, 95, 135, 145, 155 lbs

Leg Curl: 12 x 70 lbs, 12 x 80 lbs, 8 x 90 lbs

Seated Calf: 15 x 45 lbs, 15 x 55 lbs, 12 x 55 lbs

Still need a better routine. Hummmm. . . .

Oh, had a busy weekend and lead-up to the weekend so fell behind postings :P . There was a sanctuary fundraiser Saturday and that always eats my time up! I did do a back workout last Thursday and went to Anti-Gravity yoga on Friday. Today I did:

11 Feb 2013 - Mon

Bench: 10 x bar, 75 lbs, 95 lbs, 8, 7 x 105 lbs

Dips: 10, 8, 8 x bw

Skull Crushers: 3 x 10 x 40 lbs
CGBP: 3 x 10 x 40 lbs

Shoulder Rehab stuff

That was it, RA is still okayish. Right now its only hurting my toes so I can still lift (hooray!), but the only shoes I can wear are Crocs or other foam clogs (I have fancy ones I wear to work that don't look quite to ugly). Its sad, I've even been wearing Crocs in the snow while working out at the sanctuary, just with waterproof socks on (yay for neoprene!)

Kallefs, it is fun! I like it :)

12 Feb 2013 - Tues

Squat: 10 x 95 lbs, 10 x 135 lbs, 10 x 155 lbs, 8 x 165 lbs

Good Mornings: 2 x 10 x bar, 10 x 65 lbs

Seated Calf: 3 x 15 x 55 lbs

Leg days are good days :) . Its been a million years since I did Good Mornings so took it way easy on them.

Blargh, I'm getting so lazy at keeping my training log current! Lazy log, lazy life I suppose :P , skipped squats this week because a couple vertebrae in my spine hurt -- with a degenerative disease, you don't want to be compressing and stressing stuff when it's in a super-bad "I'm eating away at your bone" mode, which is what the pain usually signifies.

BUT, on the plus side, I've been fighting my insurance company so I get my injectable medicine again, woot! They decided to stop covering it January 1 this year and it costs $1540 US (~€1166) a month. This has been the source of my bad flares the last month and a half or so :? but soon I will have my meds again :D

Me too Adena! Back on my meds and up and at 'em again, but back to getting scary infections (side effect) almost immediately! I'm pretty sure I have a kidney infection, I have a doctor appointment on Tuesday so will see for sure. But otherwise, I feel pretty good. Here's what I did this week:

Mon, Mar. 11
Bench: 10 x bar, 75 lbs, 95 lbs, 8 x 105 lbs, 7 x 105 lbs, 3 x 110 lbs (gotta start a 5x5 or something again soon)
Dips: 10 x bw, 10 x bw, 6 x 5 lbs
Skull Crushers: 10 x 45 lbs - just one set, it was a bit too heavy and all the lighter weights were being used. Plus I'm lazy ;)

Tues, Mar. 12
Squat: 10 x bar, 10 x 135 lbs, 10 x 155 lbs, 8 x 165 lbs, 8 x 165 lbs
Good Mornings: 10 x 65 lbs, 10 x 85 lbs, 10 x 105 lbs
Calf on Leg Press: 3 x 10 x empty sled, one foot at a time.

Wed, Mar. 13
Active Recovery: walked for an hour and 20 minutes total, walked to work from train station, and went for a walk on my lunch hour. Felt good :)

Thurs, Mar. 14
Crapped out, kidneys hurt so didn't feel up to my back day. Went and bought vegan candy bars from Cakewalk Vegan Bakery instead in self pity ;) . Got a Go Max Thumbs Up and Jokerz bars. That made it for a 3000 calorie day  (I've been keeping track the last few weeks to see where I'm at).

Fri, Mar. 15
Planned: hour and a half of "Antigravity" yoga. Should be okay to go, kidneys don't hurt as bad today. Thoroughly enjoying this class so far!

Sat and Sun
My usual sanctuary work days. Its not exactly exercise, but its not NOT exercise. I don't know how to categorize it on these online calorie expenditure tables, I think I usually list it as "gardening" .

Bah, I'm too embarrassed to post this weeks workout. Why? Because I tried to deadlift with painful results! I shoulda known better, but alas I wanted to see if a "light" weight would be okay. It wasn't, terrible hip pain for days! Today is the first day I've been able to walk without a limp so will try my antigravity yoga class out this afternoon
