Sorry to hear about your cruel neighbours and good that you are feeling a bit better. Your hound looks very much at home there sunning himself.

Thanks Rach!

20 June 2012

Squat: 10 x bar, 10 x 95 lbs, 10 x 135 lbs, 10 x 135 lbs, 6 x 135 lbs - felt a little "niggle" in one of my hip adductors on that last set so stopped short. Not that I wasn't totally struggling and fighting for each rep though!

SLDL: 3 x 10 x 95 lbs

Calf: some, minimal

The fun thing about starting over again all the time is struggling with weights that were previously not a struggle. It gives a nice change of perspective!

In my personal life, I think this drama with the neighbors and landlady has ruined my relationship with my boyfriend of over 2 and a half years :? . He keeps apologizing to them for my "behavior" and he just payed a bogus "cleaning" bill since I refused to - and had no obligation to do so whatsoever. He says he wants to keep the peace, but really he just doesn't believe how terrible things got (he's away for work). I understand him not wanting conflict, but THEY caused the conflict and now they are exploiting him for it and he keeps siding with them against me! Argh!! They are strangers and evil and somehow I'm just a crazy vegan because I feared for my own and my animals safety. So frustrating, I swear this is the last time I date a meat-eater.

sounds like fundamental trust and respect issues, would have manifested itself in one way or another so in that sense it was not the landlady drama that ruined the relationship, it was not healthy to start with? sorry to overanalyse remotely like this, i shouldnt really, but you can look at it from the angle of, if not this situation, then it would have been some other situation where you needed his trust and support.

No worries JP, I appreciate the outside analysis. Its hard to see some things from the inside!

26 June 2012 - Tues

Squat: 10 x bar, 10 x 95 lbs, 10 x 135 lbs, 10 x 135 lbs, 8 x 145 lbs

SLDL: 3 x 8 x 135 lbs

Leg-Press Calf: 3 x 10 x empty sled (still pretty heavy for calf!)

No workout yesterday, I go on my lunch hour and my stupid boss decided to have a "lunch meeting" yesterday  . There should be laws against that.

On a cute note, we (Ching Sanctuary) rescued a pregnant goat last April and she just gave birth yesterday! Three healthy babies, all cute as can be.

27 June 2012 - Wed

Bench: 10 x bar, 10 x 65 lbs, 10 x 85 lbs, 8 x 85 lbs, 8 x 85 lbs

Dips: 8, 8, 6 x bw

Shoulder Rehad Stuffs

No time for a nice stretching session afterwards. Glanced at a clock and realized I had to get back to work! I had spent a little too much time waiting for a bench to open up. This is the problem with working out at lunch, me and a bunch of other people do! Oh well, gotta work with what I got.

5 July 2012 - Thursday

5 min warm-up on eliptical

Bench: 10 x bar, 10 x 65 lbs, 10 x 85 lbs, 7 x 95 lbs, 6 x 95 lbs, 6 x 95 lbs

Shoulder Rehab x 3

I started to post why I haven't worked out in a week, but it turned into a novel. I'll have to fix it up a bit and post it as a separate thread!

6 July 2012 - Friday

20 minutes on eliptical

Lats: 3 x 10 x 70 lbs

Seated Row: 3 x 10 x 60 lbs

Short day, still feeling super run down but glad to be at the gym and moving a bit. I forgot to mention I hurt my knee somehow during a fire evacuation last weekend so that is why I've been avoiding leg-bending stuffs. Should be okay by next week.

9 July 2012 - Mon

5 min. warm-up on elliptical (a necessity after sitting at a desk for four hours then driving to the gym :? )

Squat: 10 x bar, 10 x 95 lbs, 10 x 135 lbs, 3 x 6 x 155 lbs

SLDL: 3 x 10 x 115 lbs

Leg-Press Calf: 3 x 10 x empty sled, one foot at a time.

Darn, taking a week off squats for a hurt knee means I'm super sore AGAIN. Its cool though, I like to look a little weird when I'm getting out of my car  . Also, I can tell I'm squatting again because I'm craving protein like crazy! I went to the grocery store hungry for lunch today and came out with all kinds of veggie dogs, "chicken" patties, peanut butter this-and-thats.

16 July 2012

Ever feel like the fates are conspiring to keep you from squats? That was today for me. First I woke up with an "oh crap, its a squat day" attitude, but that quickly went away because I've been enjoying squatting lately. Then my knee started acting up, so to get over this obstacle I warmed it up really well before heading over to the squat area. But, much to my dismay, both cages were occupied when I got there! I only have an hour because I go at lunch so I went over to the deadlift bar and push-pressed the bar onto my back to warm-up:

Squat: 10 x bar, 10 x 95 lbs

Still no free cages, and time running out so I gave up and switched to deadlift (can't push press more than 95 lbs).

DL: 10 x 135 lbs, 10 x 155 lbs, 8 x 185 lbs

Leg-Press Calf: 3 x 10 x empty sled.

Then back to work! Haven't deadlifted for a bit because it still bothers my hamstring, but it was a good alternative to crappy guys hogging the cages. Everyone squats on Monday, maybe I should switch that to a different day :?

18 July 2012 - Wed

Bench: 10 x bar, 10 x 65 lbs, 10 x 85 lbs, 8 x 100 lbs, 4 x 105 lbs, 3 x 105 lbs

Machine Dips: 10 x 135 lbs, 10 x 150 lbs, 8 x 150 lbs

Shoulder Rehab

Good session, arms/chest are dead. Could hardly hold the steering wheel driving back to work :D

23 July 2012 - Mon

Squat: 10 x bar, 10 x 95 lbs, 3 x 10 x 135 lbs, 5 x 155 lbs

SLDL: 3 x 10 x 95 lbs

Leg Press Calf: 3 x 10 x empty sled

Good workout but the trouble with going on my lunch hour is I pushed it a little too hard on that last set of squats and was super nauseous for the next few hours at work! I had to go to my car and lie down for at least an hour of that while the guy I share my office with covered for me ("she just stepped out").

25 July 2012

Bench: 10 x bar, 10 x 65 lbs, 10 x 85 lbs, 10 x 95 lbs, 5 x 105 lbs, 2 x 110 lbs

Superset:
Skull Crushers: 5 x 45 lbs, 10 x 30 lbs, 10 x 30 lbs
CGBP: 5 x 45 lbs, 10 x 30 lbs, 10 x 30 lbs

No sick tummy today, hooray! I was so effed up the whole rest of the day Monday.

Snuck a locker-room photo (they are specifically banned) because my abs are looking awesome in this light 8)
