Try this for your hamstrings Baldy. In yoga we're taught that all the work should be in your stomach rather than your back. It requires stomach strength but you should suck it in rather than push it out (a different kind of strength). To help with this you also have to work your shoulder blades down your back rather than hunch your shoulders. You'll be disco-toe-touching in no time!

Not without some drama, I missed my flight in Heathrow. British Airways put me in a hotel for the night (Park Inn which had soya milk for breakfast!). As I missed the flight and it was with another airline I to pay full price for one the next morning which sucked.

Yeah, tough luck.... but I hope at least the free hotel was a pleasant re-introduction to civilisation after a week in the forest!

Are push ups coming in in big numbers? You might want to think about variations: wide/narrow/random/raised hand positions, clapping, weighted, slow, tabata, stairs (move your feet up a stair to make it harder). Declining sets, eg 32, 28,24,20,16,12,8,4. Pyramids - 1-2-3-4-5-....12-13-12-11-10-9......3-2-1. 20 secs rest in between on way up, 30 on way down.

Or the wonderful Hindu Press up....or power overs.

Papaya, you may not have been made aware of this yet. But....

During VFW and the crack/trash talking, I took on the goal of having a pushup show down with you (as you are where deemed the pushup king of VF.).

A number of other members also took on the challenge of doing 1 set of 100 pushups. You have been warned!

So my training is focused on endurance and pumping out high reps.. You up for the challenge (Post marathon of course..)

Monday AM Gym 7:01
================
Squat: 10x20kg, 6x40kg, 5x5 70kg <- deep and focused on form, felt heavy
Overhead: 10x20kg, 8x40kg, 3,3,2,2 50kg <- deload next
Deadlift: 5x60kg, 7x80kg 5x95kg <- All about the form
Pullups (palms in): 7,5,4

I have bought a chinup bar for my flat now. So will do bodyweight pullups for endurance at home and start adding weight at the gym. Probably try 5x5 at the gym and 3 set to fail at home.

Nothing that burned enough calories to be considered training. Unless you count a deep tissue message?

My mind is defiantly more open to possibilities now.
