Cheers Jono!

Came up with a vague plan yesterday, started typing it up, and decided 'fuck it' to the plan. Instinct training continues. Go heavy when the feeling is good.

Push press
6x50
4x60
3x70
2x3x80 - sound. This was target, and both sets were bulletproof. Struggled like fuck with a couple of singles at 80 only two weeks ago, so was chuffed at this.

Squats
6x60
3x100
1x120
2x2x140 - fucking hard reps, but again, creeping back up, and this was the goal really, so I'll take it. Need a deload on these on Friday tho - plan, either fronties, or back's on 2x5x130.

Pretty much done what I set out to do, so became lacklustre now.

Bent over rows - lighties, mainly for stretch/rehab
8x50
10x50

Strict press
4x60 - failed on 5
4x60

Strong - nice to see multiple sets at a tough weight.

Not training today - don't really have time. Fancy a training session tomorrow night as well as Friday?

Thanks man. Don't know about tomorrow, no plans but probably wouldn't train thurs/fri/sun. See what happens, might go down for an hour or something.

Aye man, it feels good :)

Short dietary interlude. Ok, so you're all wondering what I eat aren't you? No? Well, I'll tell you anyway;

Standard non-training day;

7.15am - 2 wee (250ml) flavoured soya milks (350 cals)
9.45am - home made pizza slice (500 cals)
11am - 1 wee soya milk (150 cals)
12noon - rice and quinoa with tofu and mixed veg (450cals)
2.30pm-3.30pm - 2 x wee soya milks + 1 x coconut bar (500cals)
6.30pm - tea (pasta, or pizza, or pasta and pizza, or rice and veg) - (800cals(approx))
7.30pm - some chocolate (250cals)

total - 3000

On a training day I throw in another slice of pizza at around 3.30-4pm, and replace tea with a death shake. Also have juiced veg about 5 days out of 6. Seems to be working well. Fuck, I like pizza.

Not a training day today, but The Jono wanted to pay a visit to the unit, so I decided to join him;

w/up with 50kg cleans/hang cleans

Front squats
3x50kg - already clean grip is starting to feel much better. Read someone saying to really get the bar in against the throat, and it worked. Flexibility in elbows/arms much better too.
2x70
2x80
5x2x90 - all felt really good. Staying upright much more and keeping elbows high. Will edge these up wee bit every week.

15" deadlifts
3x100
1x135
1x155 - decided to try out hook grip on these, and it felt pretty solid
1x170 - hook again, felt good.
2xfx190 - first one tried hook, no go, just lost the 'lock' a touch, and weight was going forward. Got the straps out on the second, same thing happened with the weight going onto the toes. Wtf?! Don't remember this happening before.
1x190 - used mixed, and hauled it up. Glad to nail it, but still not too happy about form and shit.
1x170 - back to hook
1x140

That's it. Back into it tomorrow for some benching and other stuff.

Good session Bri - nice to have a session where you don't have to use the belt too much.

That diet is only good for getting fat and sick.

Damned by faint praise :D

Trouble is, my general training philosophy is to take whatever the cult is doing and do the opposite. That means THE BELT IS BACK. Even for curls.

Ah, good, that's what I'm hoping to accomplish :)

Makes sense. It's know as anti-cultside principal.

Cheers J0n0, aye, probably right about time to take it back up to 150+, certainly within the next couple of weeks.

Hit the unit early today;

Thick bar overhead clean (continental) (1) and press
w/up w/bar
5x60
3x70 - fucked up the clean. ages since doing continentals, and with the plates/wheels locked in it's a fucker. Made it though, and pressing was good.
fx80 - clean shitty again, got it up but nothing left for the press - pish.
1x80 - better - failed 2nd
2x80 - much better, clean was decent and makes the pressing so much easier. Failed a 3rd rep, but still happy. Left it at that - next time, warm up a bit more first I think.

Farmers
70kgx15m + 10m w/100kg sandbag
85kg farmers, about 1m with the sandbag - just couldn't get it high enough :evil:
Again, 15m with 85kg farmers but no go with the bag.

Incline log
8x60
6x70
5x75
3x80
1x85
6x75
7x70
Few fails on final reps in there, but not bad overall. Still a lot down from before, but coming back not bad.

Left it at that. Slight pull in trap, but nothing much. Back into it on Tuesday.
