3x165 squat is beastly. Creeping up on my all time best rep sets (5x165kg). New pb is in the bag, itching to get out.

Not sure man, reckon it's close to The Bag, but not quite in It yet. Was wondering if I'd have got 5 at 165, and I think I'd have nailed 4, but 5 might have been a rep too much at the mo.

Would have doubled 175 if I was here next week.

Also, I was squatting with no socks on last night, forgot to bring any and just wear sandals all the time, so that probably took 5kg and/or 1 rep off my top set :)

Top session today, maybe one of THE best ever!

Log
12x30
6x60
3x75
1x90
3x95 - floor to overhead - PB I think.

Bench
8x50
5x80
2x100
2x115
2x117.5
2x120 - nice

Farmers
15mx55kg
15mx85kg
15mx105kg - solid
15mx120kg - nice. PB, and happiest with this considering it's usually a shite event for me!

Happy man.

Super solid session Brian. I think that there might have been some shouting pbs for me in there too for your farmer's walk run!

Log: another rep in there within a 75 second time limit I think.

Bench: 3-4 at 120kg is certainly doable without the preceding two doubles. I reckon the different bench might have helped a bit too.

Farmer's: I think the main problem you have with farmers generally is that you are too much of a pussy to do the distance! There is more strength in there than you think.

Cheers Buddy!

I think you might be right about the farmers, and the bench. Will stick to the red boy for a while. Farmers, I think it's about staying tight in whole body rather than just thinking about the grip. Movement = drop for me, so much better to be ROCK STEADY and glide like a swan...

Tonight;

Squats
8x60
3x100
2x140 - not feeling very light!
1x160 - 'watch your depth' - wtf! Not looking good! :)
2x175 - PB - solid, and 'deep' according to The Tall One!

Log press
6x60
3x70
2x80 - felt good
1x90
fx100 - cunt! Old guy from next building came in to talk wood with Jono and it threw my Mojo off!
1x100 fon2 - happy enough. Decent rep, and didn't miss the 2nd by much. Need to get clean a bit higher and commit.
2x1x90 - practicing technique - fucking tasty fast reps!

Some tricep beach stuff, and done!

Back from The Beach. Tanned as fuck, but feeling weak!

Squats
8x60
3x100
2x130
2x5x150 - fucking horrible! Legs were crying, felt like pulled hamstring on 1st rep of 2nd set, but just dug deep and nailed the reps. Needed a wheelchair after. Time off kills my squats.
10x60

Bench
8x60 - felt heavy :)
3x80
3x5x100 - good to make, but again, felt shaky.
12x60

Fat men
2x8

Home to cry! :) Good to be back in the game. Somehow weight has stayed the same, thought I'd be a good bit lighter.

I think that you have literally had the strength baked out of you! You and Gunner were just about the same colour!

So that tanning lotion works? I need to get some for my next sun bed appointment.

I am kind of fried. Started to peel a bit now, application of after sun has been insufficient. Tans rule.

Today, ran novice comp at the unit. Went smoothly as always, and trained after with Friday, Youngy, Bananas, Mrs Buzz and Maca.

Viking press
6x60
5x80
5x100
3x110
12x60 strict

Yoke
40mx60kg
40mx140kg
20mx220kg
20mx280kg
20mx300kg - tough. Planned 10m but was feeling ok up to that point. 20 was a battle, but no drops. Pretty pleased.

Stones
1x85
1x100
1x115
1x130
1x135 - feeling decent
1x140 - solid
fx3x150 - lapped it on the third try, no load today.

Solid session considering I was feeling wiped and still sore as fuck from Thursday's squats.

2x5x150 - evil

Log bench
8x60
3x80
3x5x90 - decent

Deadlifts
5x70
3x110
1x160
5x185 - medium nasty

Sorry for the no show last night. Had a fucking shit day reminding me of why I hate tree surgery (as opposed to forestry) - dragging a tree bit by bit through some rich bastards house watching his freshly painted door frames and getting paid sod all for the effort. Went for a pint with Stephen from old work after and spent a lot of the remainder of the evening sleeping on the sofa with Kathryn trying to put me to bed, and me arguing surprisingly coherently with her whilst remaining completely asleep!

It's not a bad excuse. What's tonight's one?

Tonight, Friday and Old Man and a better session than I'd expected;

Fronties - decided to swerve back squats for tonight, still sore from Tuesday
8x50
5x70
2x90
3x2x100
20x70

18" Deadlifts
3x70
3x120
1x160
1x200
1x230 - felt decent
1x240 - PB. Slow to move but once it does it's in the bag.

Bench
8x70
3x90
3x5x105
12x70 paused

Fat men on the rings
2x8

240kg deadlift, what bag were you keeping that one in? Nice lifting.

Cheers Disco Brothers!

Baldy - the Secret Bag! Was an 18"er though eh, not full rangey. That will be bagged soon though. Then 250. Eventually :)

Sunday;

Log press
5x60
3x70
1x80
5x85 - floor to overhead. Felt ok, but not great, and not that stable for some reason. 85 on the shorter length is a bogey, so rather than stick to The Plan and do a second set of 5 at 85, just went onto the 90 log
8x90 - tasty. First three from shoulders, then two floor to overheads, then another double, and the last rep as a single. All felt good. 3's at 97.5 hopefully next week.

Fat Men
2x8

Tonight with Macaroon, Panther, and Old Man;

Squats
6x60
3x100
2x140
1x140 - supposed to be 155 but forgot to put any extra weight on :D
5x155 - PB - not hideous, pretty happy.
20x100 - Hideous! Fucking Maca's idea and he bailed on the challenge!! :D:D

18" Deads
3x70
3x120
2x160
2x3x200 - feeling tough, nothing in the legs to get them moving!

Bench
8x70
3x90
1x105
3x115 - solid
2x115 - arsed up the 2nd rep
1x115 - arsed up the 1st rep :) Weird, thought three triples would be in The Bag, but triceps tired quickly.
