This is my quest to lose weight, build muscle, and run as many 100 mile races as possible. I've hired a personal trainer and I'm ready to start running again after a month long break.
1) Weight to lose: 10 to 15 pounds
2) Muscle to be gained: enough to prevent running injuries - areas to concentrate on: quads, hamstrings, adductors, abductors, hip flexors.
3) Races planned for 2008: 30km road race in March, 100mile trail race in May, 100mile trail race in September
Oh, and perhaps try to eat a more balanced diet.
I tend to get hooked on pasta and fall into food ruts easily.
