It counts enough! but, did you have a nap on the way down?

I did! Despite hardly being here recently, I managed to be in NZ this weekend. It was a lot of fun. My fitness is pretty poor since I have rarely been in the country and I've managed to do so little training, but I still really enjoyed it. Based on the official results, I guess I can say I came in second equal -- along with everyone else in the race who was not first. The costumes were pretty amazing and certainly kept it entertaining to race - as did the spectators. They were fantastic. I've had quite a bit of work done on the Fat recently and I have no complaints about it. It was great to ride, I am loving it again, but I am looking forward to some gears... I will certainly do the race again! Next year its in Queenstown Al, you should head over for it.

My Igleheart fork arrived recently for my Gryphon and it looks beautiful. Unfortunately, when building it all up we notice that both of my 29" wheels are trashed. On the front my Tune hub is cracking and my back rim is cracking around all of the eyelets. argh. I am trying to sort out what to do.

Tomorrow I am off to Australia and next Monday I go back to the USA. :| It is time to kick my running up a notch! Less than one year until the Terawera, I had better get serious.

Sounds like you were part of a fun race. Costumes??? :D

Really getting excited about Tarawera...sis is coming with us to be my crew. :) I agree with you...lots of work to do with the race less than a year away now. Have you been on the race course at all? Just curious about the elevation changes and terrain. Happy running and safe travels!

the question on everybody's lips is - what costume did you race sswc in?!?
I envisage it thusly:
