 NEVER

I thought I would add to my crazy life tutoring students a few nights a week for AP Biology. It takes more time than I was hoping to get things prepared for them. I'm just running out of time.

Firday-6 mile recovery run easy
pm-lost swim coach  so just lots of laps

Saturday-group run 14 miles @ 8 min pace
*left with kids to Houston to watch a friend in her first 1/2 IM

Sunday-Houston and home

Monday-
am 7 mile run with a 20 min tempo in the middle

**** Just heard from a few guys from our running club who went to Florida Ironman.  They saw a shark

excellent. :D

I thought you were teaching young kiddos; what age is your normal class?

Were you inspired by the 1/2??

Nothing better than a shark to give you a fast time, eh?

The kids I teach are 14-16 but you remember those days???? There are days they behave like they are 4-6 year olds  I have taught younger kids but not for the past few years. Right now it is chemistry and biology.

Yes the 1/2 did inspire. And the shark changed my mind on which 1/2 I am considering!

Tuesday-1hr steady run/weights and core

Hey gms!

Wow, you are brave to teach teenagers. I just thought I'd let you know that my biology and chemistry teachers were some of the most influential and best teachers that I ever had. They really had an impact on my desire to pursue science/medicine. I think it's so cool that you're a science teacher and have the opportunity to impact kids in such a positive way. :)

I'm also very impressed by your training. You are fast (14 miles @ 8 min pace)! I look forward to reading more of your log. :)

cool! Was it the swim that made your decision?

Why the switch to the evening run? Was your swim with a group?

Yes it was! Honestly there is just no time to drive 6+ down to the beach

Switched the run and swim because of FOOTBALL :D I wanted to go to a game and it was easier to switch things for the day

Lately life has just been crazy and I have let things bring me down. The stress of some things has wiped me out at times and I haven't pushed myself training. But I just spent the night running with the most amazing group of people. It was a great way to get the attitude adjusted I needed.
Amy was great! What an amazing woman. She has been through so much.

Bill -67 years old, 150 ultras, and going for the 72 hour run!
I'm going to get some sleep and then take out some dinner!
