This is of interest: http://www.rawfood.com/interviewsa2.html
Q: What are the dimensions of the largest male raw bodybuilders you know?

A: I'm 6'2", 235 lbs., Bernarr Zovluck is 5'10", 220 lbs., and Scott Brodie is 5'11", 205 lbs. Scott has squatted 835 lbs., deadlifted 760 lbs., and benchpressed 457 lbs.

Q: Are you personally stronger now than when you were a cooked-food eater?

A: I can say that I'm at least twice as strong now as I was when I was eating a Standard American Diet. I used to benchpress 300 pounds three times, now I can bench that weight twenty times. That's a huge improvement in brute strength. On a burnout set, I used to benchpress 135 pounds forty times, now I can bench that weight well over one hundred times. That's a huge improvement in muscular endurance. I also find that I need little or no rest between sets of exercises now.

That's Stephen Arlin talking. 300 pounds for 20 reps is pretty damm good. Actually that's far better than almost any professional football player at any weight as an example, while Arlin is only 6'2" 230.

Got to find more on these guys.

Like maybe this: http://www.rawfood.com/premier.html

http://www.rawfood.com/brodie.html

Brodie did that back when he ate meat. It seems like Arlin severely mislead. And now that I'm skeptical I must say Arlin doesn't look like he can bench 300 for 20. Anyway I wish he had some contact with us here.

Erle Montaigue is a world famous internal martial arts practioner (taiji and bagua) - he's also Vegan (but I think he eats honey).
He should be on the list
http://www.taichiworld.org.uk/
He is based in Wales (formely from Northern NSW Australia) and holds classes 1 weekend a month. He did the right thing to escape Australia when he did! The recent election that was held was a shocker - the conservatives got in and with more power this time!

I know there are many more but atleast there is one i'm sure of. Jamie Thomas i a vegan straightedge pro skater from the us of a, if you are into that kind of clothing check out his shoe models on circa and he also has his own clothing campany, zero. One more of the guys on circas team are vegan but i've forgotten who it was...

Brazilian jiu jitsu: Pilo Stylin is a vegan purlplebelt, he came 2nd in bjj scandinavian open last saturday.

I've been told there are quite a few blackbelts in brazilian jiu jitsu that are vegans but i need to get better info on names and how many of them compete and so on. I'll get back to you when i know. Those guys might be into vale tudo, submission wrestling and similar sports too.

I've always wondered if Jamie Thomas was veg -- I'm still not quite convinced. His shoe models have always been synthetic, but many of the shoes in his new shoe line (Fallen Footwear) are leather.

Not sure if Jamie Thomas is still vegan, but Ed Templeton is definitely still vegan (his wife buys marshmallows from us every so often) and I believe that Geoff Rowley is still vegan as well. Been out of the skateboarding loop for too long so I'm sure I'm missing a few others, but that's what I know offhand!

And only two months later I've added those omega athletes. (It's been a hell of a two months.) Also added vegetarian Albert Beckles who was definitely world class in bbing and like Hilligen and Pearl had outstanding longevity competing in the Mr. Olympia at 61 years old.

But only vegetarians.

If you're still interested in posting Andreas Cahling, here's a website that states he is a vegetarian athlete. Here's the link.

The link below is for another website that has some great information on meat free athletic performance, etc.

Also, I don't know how accurate the list of people is on this other website, but you may want to check it out  .

cheers crash, but this list on VF is probably the only list which only lists athletes with direct proof, so for instance the Cahling is an article about him but without direct quotes.

This list is the most reliable out there i think ;)
