this list looks awesome, thanks for continuing work on it mate!

One comment open for discussion, maybe the three categories dont really work? Maybe just alphabetical etc listing would be better?

bodybuilding has less to do with strength than martial arts - all sports require skills - and endurance too to certain extent etc etc etc...

Glad you like it, I'm pleased at how it looks and having so many people contribute to make it such a comprehensive list is brilliant.

I agree that not everyone falls into one category. The skill cat is especially odd as the benefits of being fit are not so obvious for some of them (eg race car driving, quijong) as they rely on skill, yet Danzig is a great example of fitness and health.

On the other hand it does enable people to seek out their area of interest. It also enabled me to order them in an attempt to make the list more effective - starting the category with an impressive one and finishing on an interesting one, and sometimes I've grouped similar athletes together. I don't want Carl Lewis or Mac Danzig hidden away. Whether this is a good idea or not is debateable, as is whether I've done it well.

Admittedly the 3 categories are not something I thought about as I inherited the list from J and just went with it. My initial reaction is that we should keep as is, but if there's balance of opinion for changing to alphabetical or some other method I'll go with that.

Opinions anyone?

News updated as the Bigwood news was old - I've put in Eggleston's 10k PR.

Catra Corbett is doing the Badwater Ultra this year, that may be newsworthy when we get a result.

Wow, I actually watched him crossing the finish line. I was there to cheer on my aunt who ran the half marathon. I had no idea.

Wanted to add someone else to the list: Pro Wrestler (WWE) Bryan Danielson, aka Daniel Bryan. http://www.wwe.com/inside/news/14230996
Are you doing enough to be the best?

Yep you did. I'm operating a one-in-one-out policy, so make space I kicked out Carl Lewis.

awesome. 8)
"The worker has the right to leave his boss, but can she do it? And if she does quit him, is it in order to lead a free life; where she will have no master but herself? No, she leaves to sell herself to another employer. She's driven by the same hunger. Thus the worker's liberty is only a theoretical freedom, lacking any means of realization; an utter falsehood."
