spanish language veganfitness?

Hey this idea has been raised before, but here it would be formally in a thread

I think it would be awesome to provide veganfitness style forum in spanish language because of the language barrier.

It could be hosted under the veganfitness.net new supersite but as a separate forum?

Maybe if it could be run by current VF regulars and then it would just grow to its own independent glory hopefully from there?

one reason to do it is that someone will do it sooner or later, and it could become some kind of esoteric stuff about getting all your energy needs from the sun etc.

Think it´s a good idea to fill the gap.

Veganism is growing rapidly in the spanish speaking nations. Argentina, Spain, Mexico, USA etc. 470-500 milion people who speak this language. English is a big problem for many people who are vegan and interested in sports.

Think it´s good to set a time limit. for example 3-4 months. If it doesn´t reach enough traffic you can put it down. If it does great!!

This is a brilliant idea, do we have 2 or 3 Spanish speaking mods to help get it started?
Probably best to take discussions on host name offline so they dont get poached.

Like wise is there any other language we should think about?

It could work, even I'm skeptical about spanish people and forums. I've always wondered how it is that there's no more people from South America around here. Runner's idea seems fair and practical. A smaller version with less subforums could be a good start.

Anyone have ideas how best to target the Spanish speaking community? Do South American spanish speakers for example use .es sites?
Or should be get a spanish site name with generic .net?

Latin American users use their own country's URL. In chile it is .cl

Do know vegan runners from Argentina, El Salvador (Middle America, but spanish speaking).

The US has hugh Spanish speaking population as well. Think it could be a tap doesn´t need to have it´s own extension.

we have had tons of people from south america on VF over the years! Maybe baldy the tech man can check the database some day but there has been a lot of folk, but the language issue has been stopping many from staying i think...
