Many people argue here that humans share the same digestive system as gorillas, this isn't a new argument by any means. For part of the year, a majority of a gorilla's diet is tree bark, soft branches and fibrous leaves and they thrive on it. It isn't ridiculous that humans can adapt to the same diet. The body can create protein from amino acids broken down from apples and tree bark, this is also widely accepted by most vegan dieticians. Therefore it isn't "bollocks" or "wizard level trolling" to suggest among fellow vegans that humans can get sufficient protein from tree bark. You probably eat meat.
