In the past few montsh registering to VF has been difficult due to the huge volume of spammer accounts created (often 100 per day) and the tedios task for admins to try to see which ones are genuine members and which are spammers.
because of this some people have not had their accounts activated, or even deleted among the spammer clean ups.
if you know any people who have had problems please ask them to re-register, or contact any of the admins about it.
Its been rubbish, the lack of new people on the forum slows it down and its been hurting the forum. Hopefully teh worst is behind us (till spammers find a workaround to the simple anti spam measures in place that is...)

If anyone is reading this who has registered some time ago but haven't been activated, one sure thing is to reply to the activation email and say that you are waiting to be activated. That'll make it easier for us to find you and activate your account.

Just to let you know that if you get a registration request claiming to be from me on behalf of Mary, it's genuine. She's in hospital at the moment and I'm trying to register her on here ready for when she gets home.
