I think your memory makes them smaller than they are, they are a bit larger than bite size.

It's fun seeing people that haven't tried eating many of these state that it's easy. Believe me, it definitely is not! They are mostly fat and sugar, with some oats and cocoa mixed in, then go figure how easy it is to eat a bulk load of them
