Postby Lordmuppet » Mon Apr 30, 2012 12:20 pm

Hi folks,

a quick call out to say we are currently looking for submissions for articles on http://www.greatveganathletes.com

Submissions can be as short as 300-400 words. We can't offer cash/money I'm afraid :( but we will proof read them for you and your work would be in a place that gets a good amount of traffic so plenty of readers!

feel free to post here or drop us a line here http://www.greatveganathletes.com/contact if you have any questions

thanks!
:D

What sort of submissions are you looking for ?
Do you want people to research and write a brief biography of athletes already on the list ?

The main thing we are looking for is news articles on existing athletes. For example if one of the existing athletes on the http://www.greatveganathletes.com does a competition, it would be great get a write up.
This will help us keep a nice stream of content coming in and should not be too much work for individual people.
Even better would be to get a pre comp build up article and then a post comp analysis. We often have these threads on VF, just needs someone to put it into the form of an article.

If people are more interested in researching and managing the athlete articles, then that is also great and please get in touch. This is a testing bed for ideas on how we can develop VF and create a landing page with news articles.
It really is an exciting project and the team are starting to work very well together so the sites have lots of potential.

There is no cash, but the perks include getting more involved in the awesome VF community and the occasional kudos.

This site is by far the best of its kind on the web. This is because VF is a diverse group with interests in a lot of different sports and organisations. The number of different sources that have contributed to this list over the years it has been evolving is enormous. So, if you have an interest in a sport or one of the athletes and want to add to GVA, you can.

News is really the main thing, the 'inner circle' have had to get to grips with stuff they didn't know about like ranking systems in WWE wrestling, scoring in figure skating and regional/national competiton structures in other sports. Also finding sources of results, report, videos and info. If you already have an interest and can do a topic better than average, have a go at putting something together.
