Training on an empty stomache

I thought this would be the best place for this thread.

I almost never have anything more than a glass of water before I do my main workout/activity, I'm just curious if anyone else does this.

There is no weird, unfounded science reason why I do this, I just feel better when I do.

I'm not sure anyone likes to eat right before training. Sounds terrible actually. I'd vomit every time if I did that. Generally, I eat an hour to an hour and a half before I head to the gym.

I understand most people do that, I meant I usually don't have breakfast or eat anything during the morning/afternoon until after I work out.

Beh, HTFU. I have a nice meal and then proceed to weightlifting. In which case it is unnecessary to worry about pre, post and whatever workout nutrition.

I prefer to exercise on a light stomach. It just feels better.

I do both empty and full stomach workouts.
I like to be ready for race day, when my nutrition may be all over the map. Sometimes I race right after I eat, others on an empty stomach. So I prepare for that by eating A LOT minutes before I run/swim/bike and sometimes I workout in the late morning and I only eat lunch.

I feel a bit better racing after having eaten 3 hours before, but that ideal is rarely achievable if I have to do a series of races in a weeklong meet.
