Are there any other vegan fencers out there?

Yes. Foil.

Toyed with Sabre and Epee, but my heart is with the foil.

My better half and I are planning on taking up fencing in the New Year. Does anyone know if there's anything non-vegan about fencing gear of which I should be aware?

Oh fencing, I used to love it, did it for about 3 years, fenced at reginal level for U16's, at foil, but I loved the sabre just as much, epee was a lot of fun, but it wasnt my ball game. I had to end it because I had bad knee's, and now I just dont have the speed in my arm and it would take too long to get it back, plus it would cost me about £400 to get all the kit again haha. I hate'd using other people's eargh.
Let's plunge ourselves into the roar of time, the whirl of accident, may pain and pleasure, success and failure, shift as they will - for it is only action that can make a man.

I've recently started fencing again. I used to fence competitively when I was younger but have had quite a break.
I mainly fence foil and epee but have done a little sabre, though that is not as popular here. I help with classes and am hoping to start training for coaching qualifications later this year. Maybe one or two competitions too.

Fencing gloves tend to be leather. I am looking at alternatives. I'll post anything I find here.

Unfortunately Duellist Fencing are not so good,

Hello,
so sorry but we don't supply anything like this. Hopefully you'll find your kit somewhere else.

Sorry

I'm still waiting for a couple of more replies.
