Skipping rope advice needed!

Postby Freccia » Sat Feb 19, 2011 5:08 pm

I'm looking to buy a skipping rope to get into serious jump roping several times a week, however I can't seem to find any decent ones on the Internet.

Is there anyone who uses a skipping rope for serious workouts and can recommend one to buy? I'm not really into tricks or anything fancy - I just want something durable and easy to use that will get me fit!

I've seen various models with jump and calorie counters - would you advise getting one of these?

Any advice much appreciated :)

Personally I think the plastic "speed rope" ones are fine, they should be pretty cheap as well. You really don't need anything special.

Something a bit like this:

Turn counters might serve to motivate you so I'm not against them as long as the rope still turns well.

Beaded jump ropes work great and last a long time- at a great [rice and you can get tehm at many lengths and they are easy to adjust length

I recommend Buddy Lee's Aero Speed. Very fast and good rope.
