Toughguy Challenge

Postby Anton » Fri Oct 09, 2009 10:50 pm

anyone had any experience with this? I am thinking about entering the january 'race' with my brother...i know a guy called barry did it some years ago, but that was the summer race ... t=toughguy

anyway...looks kind of fun in a f*cked up kind of way. would definitely be an experience and something to work towards.

any thoughts?

A friend of mine who isn't particularly tough did it and really enjoyed it.

They do have broken bones every year though, apparently!

I gather from a friend who did it (the only one from a team of four army gym queens to make it to the end, the rest went down with hypothermia...) that what really fucks you up is after you get wet for the first time is then hanging around in the backlog to get through the next obstacles.

Good luck with it. It seems to me that half the battle is sorting yourself out for the cold and wet.
