I think they are called Jinga's here http://www.jingashop.com/

They look nice and good for dance but I wouldn't use them for high impact activity.

I have a pair of jingas, I wear them to work. They are the next best thing to being bare foot as they are so thin and light, like smart slippers.

Have used them for the gym a couple of times they are ok to deadlift in. Wouldn't say they are the best gym shoe as there is literally no stiffness or support.

They have different types so I thought maybe one of them will do. :?

In fact I read sometimes ago, that studies shows that maybe it would be better to run/exercise with bear foot or close to it, but they didn't go really further with the explanations
