What is the best way to train your abdomens?

I train most of the muscles with low reps/heavy weight. But for the abdomens I just start doing more reps, because I guess I can't really increase the weight.

What exercises are you doing? If you're doing situps or crunches, try holding a weight plate or dumbbell on your chest.

Mainly crunches and leg raises... have done the crunches with a small sandbag on the chest, as well as the leg raising with my legs holding a sandbag... but it doesn't quite give me the statisfaction... can't try heavier sandbags, because we don't have them in our gym... also the dumbells don't go higher than 2.5kg so they're pretty useless as well...

have you tried cable crunches? You go to them cable cross over things and hold the handle, or rope preferably if your gym has one, behind your neck and crunch downwards pulling the weight with you.
