Anyone doing these? Tried them yesterday at home and experiencing sore traps and whole upper back now. Is it wise to include them in a 5x5 strenght and size kinda routine? The only stuff I do for the back these days are Pull-ups and Dumbbell Rows (started doing the latter just last week).

I do them sometimes with light weight in combination with hangcleans. However, In most situations I would think pulling from the floor would be a better option. If I were you I'd rather do powercleans, not because they are more effective but because they are more fun

I don't really like PC. Besides, that's not an option for me right now due to injured lower back. I'm just looking for more interesting (ie. fun) and effective exercises for upper back that doesn't involve lower back much.

do a 6x6 hang clean instead

Next time, I'll spend the money on drugs instead.
