What are some good (and SAFE!) exercises for the neck?

wrestlers bridges work the neck, laying on your back, arch up supporting yourself on your feet and the top of your head (I was told it should really be on your forehead? I am not that flexible to do that). Rock slowly back and forth, this is really hard at first.

I think Ironmind sells a harness to put on your head that allows you to lift with your head/neck. Check out They tend to be a bit pricey but Ironmind peddles quality products.

Yeah Ironmind sells "Headstrap for Hercules" - I've got it and its great. Its safe if you take it easy and no your limits like you do with any exercise. It doesn't work the sides of the neck though - use the palm of your hand to do that (apply pressure). I'd recommend the headstrap but I wouldn't recommend the wrestlers bridge - I've heard its dangerous. I've seen an exercise called the Neck Roll that is on Coach Sonnon's circular strength website (there's a video) - its said to be safer than the wrestlers bridge.
