sea kayaking and camping in British Columbia

Postby stateofflux » Sun Apr 23, 2006 12:56 pm

I would need some advice here. JP and I are thinking about stuff we'd like to do in BC and it looks like there's alot of opportunity to sea kayak which is something I've been wanting to do for ages. Any advice as to where we should go and which companies we could use? There are so many out there, it seems. Quadra Island seems to pop up alot and I like the look of it. Anyone been there?

Also camping- is early-mid June an OK time to camp in the Vancouver Island, Gulf Islands, Mountains and coastal areas? If it's still quite cold, I'd be reluctant to camp, but it seems like a missed opportunity as this part of BC (actually the whole province looks awesome) is so beautiful!

Any advice, tips appreciated!

Uh..we have two velodromes in BC, why waste your time doing anything else? =P

Yep, Quadra is a nice island from what i hear..heck, they all are!

It'll be a bit cool at night, but certainly not cold.

Aw - they're fun, but you don't get to go nearly as fast. ;)
