Ive visited Leipzig for two days. If youre into books or German history its one of the cities you should visit. The "Leipziger Buchmesse" is one of the two important (the other one is in Frankfurt) book fairs every year. It goes back to the 17. century and is still in competition with Frankfurt. ;) me there are 3 cities in eastern Germany i have to see before i die. Its Leipzig, Dresden and Weimar. Theyre very historical towns since a lot of Bachs, Schillers and other shitheads hung out there. In Leipzig you have the oldes coffee house in Germany there and the "Völkerschlacht Denkmal". And a very famous Christmas market that goes back to the 14th century. (after all not too cool imo) ...and also this year the first vegan Christmas market took place.
So im happy i can make a check on Leipzig.
In vegan eyes Leipzig is also quite ambitious. You find a couple of restaurants and vegan friendly places. I didnt visit any since i wasnt really going for the food aspect. And was also not too interested since im pampered by Berlin food ;) .... So i survived on salad and chips. (vacation food is allowed to be shitty) ^^
But here is a site that sums the locations up quite well, including a map. Also there is a Veganz coming in January right in the old-town part. 8)

here are some impressions....
