It would probably be easiest for me to just chuck it all and drive up to Minneapolis for the weekend. I may be able to ask for time off work, but I may or may not be able to get it approved, which is why it's easiest to just meet up on a weekend. I'll check out those restaurants online but I'm sure anything will be fine. I'm not too picky, as long as it's vegan! Four hour road trip, yee-ha!

Yay! I appreciate you being up for making such a fairly long trip largely just to visit with me. I'll send you a PM with my phone number. :)

Minneapolis, here I come! I'm sitting on my plane now & am scheduled to arrive in just a few short hours! :D

Hey now, I have VF gatherings all by myself all the time! Right now, I'm regretting paying almost $8 for a crappy cold sandwich from Chicago's Soul Vegetarian restaurant (but bought here at O'Hare) & almost crying every time I stand up because I'm so sore from walking 13+ miles down off of a 14,000 foot mountain in Colorado 2 days ago - so that counts right? ;)

By that logic, every day is a Vegan Fitness Meet-Up for each and every one of us.

I'm looking forward to hearing about your Colorado and Wisconsin adventures!

WOW! Y'all sure have exciting (& expensive!) lives - that was a big adventure for me! ;-p

Ok, fine... Maybe my "army of one" type comparison doesn't quite work. I look forward to telling you about my travels - but even better will be having some adventures of our own in MN! If this weather doen't cool off, I might want to focus on sipping iced tea & floating a raft down the Mississippi... ;)

Thanks again for hanging out Adena - visiting & adventuring with you was definitely a highlight of my trip! :)

It also helped remind me how nice it is to meet up with cool folks - VFers & other vegans for example - and how I wish I did so a lot more often...

Aw, how nice! I had a great time, too! You should put up some photos when you get a chance.

I think scrambling around in the woods around Minnehaha Falls on Sunday was probably the most fun for me. Made me feel like a little kid again. Modern Times Cafe was also a highlight. Damn, that food was good.
